Well, don't confuse people... most of us are talking here with a POP mind, since this the POP forum. Maybe there is a market for songs like this, Crank That, Lollipop and such, but I don't think it's Pop-friendly. In addition to not thinking this is quality material IM(pop)O.

I think following songs like Just Dance and Lollipop, this seems like the perfect blend of dance/pop/hip hop. It isn't immediate though (there's isn't an immediately identifiable hook like My Humps) but playing this out in the clubs you can watch it "click" with the crowd the minute Fergie comes on. Her voice is so immediately recognizeable that it makes her part the real chorus, even though Will.I.am's Boom boom BOOMs probably is the technical chorus.
I think this actually isn't going to rise fast at first, especially for a first single. It'll struggle to find it's footing but after a while and with some promotion I think it'll be huge. It's got such a good feel, and in our current economic times it's going to feel great driving down the road thinking of 3008.

I think this is going to have a similar run to Love Lockdown and I think the second single is going to overtake this.

When Kelly Clarkson's song came out how many spins did it have in it's first week without an adds date? Womanizer?

bicth you do NOT need to get fiesty with me. I am not one of your playground friend. Tabitha is a fucking bully You can't compare a pop act to a hip hop group on a POP STATION. Most hip hop songs do not pick up steam that fast compared to the brits and kells. The best you can compare this song to is flo-rida and eminem, and they sure did not rise quick on pop or anywhere else, but made it to #1. not to say this will do the same, but my example is better than your fiesty opinion

Ya, I believe the song's largest playing radio station is KIIS if i'm not mistaken. Though it is getting quite a good amount of plays on a hip-hop station here in LA, power 106. Overall I think LA is the place that this song is taking over with the most airplay.
I really can't wait for their album, June is too long for me!!

This has to just be getting this initial success because it's their first single back after awhile. This song is just way too unorthodox, I'll be shocked if it's a radio hit. I mean it really doesn't even have a hook.

I mean it really doesn't even have a hook. I actually hadn't even thought of that, but that is true. Though, the first thing that I think most people see about this song is the beat, the rhythm... it's catchy you got to admit that. Lately a lot of the songs up on top are catchy, Right Round, I Kissed A Girl, Live Your Life, etc.

I hope the second single is better. I don't like the song still, but I like BEP so I hope it is a success and paves the way for better songs.

This song is incredible. Great, great song. The lack of an identifiable hook may slow it down, but I have no doubts that it will eventually be MASSIVE.

This is gonna be Top 10 for sure from downloads alone. I also see longevity. It reminds me of a Flo-Rida single, even if it gets dry to you, it will never get dry to radio or the general public for a while.

This song will probably even go top 5 from repressed downloads. The AI is great...Almost 7 million! What about the video?

Not yet. I'm not surprised either. I think they are hesitant to play this, since this is a new sound from them. They'll probably play it soon though.

Heard this on my CHR station yesterday, and it sounded completely out of place. Just confirms my suspicions that this is too radical for radio. I'm betting this will drop like a rock a few weeks from now.

I like this. I said top 15 at least on chr/pop. It's going to be huge @ the clubs.

I mean it really doesn't even have a hook. Exactly. This is just not a CHR song at all. The highest I could see it going is like #18 and if it does get that high it'll plummet right after it peaks.
