Hopefully he gets some Grammy love and that'll propel him well into the 400k range. Ugh he deserves much better #s. His team has been on the grind. What do you guys think is the problem?

What do you guys think is the problem? maybe he needs a pop hit? to my knowledge he's done really well on urban and rhythmic maybe he just needs a cross-over hit to get sales/attention

If he continues with the hits into his next album, I could see that album being his breakout. I just wish it was this one because it is too good to go unknown. I never cared for dude until this album. He outdid himself.

Nah, I disagree. This album has too many good songs for a re-release, imo.

Nah, I disagree. This album has too many good songs for a re-release, imo. I wish Scratchin' Me Up was on the official version. And this is his break-through album. He is the king of R&B right now. He has the most buzz and even though he isn't going multiplatinum album -- the sales aren't as good as they should be -- because the album sales market is terrible right now. He does need to crossover to be the next big mega-hit star for the next album though.

R&B just isn't selling that much. It's a great album and it's still charting.

Although the album has enough hits on it, I still think he should re-release just for sales. He's just now heating up (album back in the top 40, "Say Aah" top 20 on the Hot 100) and a re-release with a hot track would take him to platinum faster.

Maybe he should master "More Than That" off of Anticipation, along with recording a couple of new songs and re-release it. He would go platinum eventually I would hope, regardless. However if he has anywhere near as good of an album as he did this time -- next time he should open up big and reach multi-platinum status.

He opened pretty well with this album though (145k) but I could see 200k if he puts out another hot banger as his first single. He just really needs to start working on some pop crossover hits to take him to the next level.

'Say Aah' is close to the top 50 at Pop. If he can get it to cross over, he'll sell twice as much as he is right now IMO. That song is so HOT

Trey could definitely take Chris Brown's spot as the next black male star, but dude HAS to start pushing more album units. I think Mariah has sold more than him...and she only had 1 hit. He has had like 5 so far.
If SAY AAH does blow up on Pop, he has to follow-it-up with another POP single. It's hard enough for R&B acts to get crossover success, he may never get this chance again!!! Hopefully his people have him working on another CD for this December release.

He hasn't gone Gold yet, so for him to reach platinum would be a stretch. He's doing well for himself, regardless of sales. Trey wouldn't have gotten these many singles if he wasn't a success.

It looks like with his new pop success his album is getting decent sales. What happens when the track goes Top 20 on the format? Sales of 50,000 weekly?!!? O-M-G!

www.treysongz.com/news/mtvcom-jermaine-dupri-remakes-secret-garden-with-usher-trey-songz-robin-thicke/MTV.com: Jermaine Dupri Remakes 'Secret Garden' With Usher, Trey Songz, Robin ThickePosted by Atlantic Records February 17, 2010 Jermaine Dupri is spearheading a new version of a classic song, and just like "We Are the World," it's another Quincy Jones tune. JD has called on Usher, Robin Thicke, Tyrese and Trey Songz to cover Jones' 1989 hit "The Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction Suite)." The original version starred seductive vocalists James Ingram, Al B. Sure, El DeBarge and the incomparable Barry White. Right before the NBA All-Star Game, Dupri talked about his and his team's rendition. "It took a minute for me to even think about touching it," JD admitted. "It's a couple of components in that record that you don't wanna touch — Barry White being one of the main components. I had to leave him [on the song]. There's nobody out there in the world that's got a voice like his or even sounded the way he sounded. So I had to make sure I could leave that. It's gonna be interesting for y'all to hear how these young guys sound mixed in with him." Read the full article at MTV.com

Why nobody told me that his mixtape "Anticipation" was so hot? Man, "Infidelity" is hot.
