I thought Bucky would release "The Bible and the Belt" I really thought so too... I also thought American Friday Night would have been a good single choice.

The upcoming single "I Want My Life Back" will be the first single from Bucky's sophomore CD due out the end of the summer. I agree that "Bible and the Belt" would have been a great 4th release from his debut CD.

I love this new song from Bucky. I think it suits his voice very well. I can't wait to hear it on the radio in April. I'm also looking forward to a new album from him in September. And, I do agree with you that "Bible and the Belt" would have made a great single!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you so much, Kevin. It is a great song. He soars in the chorus. It makes me reflect on my own life and in areas that I want back that I have lost . It is a song of hope and taking the road less traveled . It calls for a change in one's character and a realization that one can make positive change.
At least that what it means to me. That is the beauty of the song, I am sure it will speak to different people in unique ways. It takes us from the loss experienced in the present economy and moves further to the loss in personal relationships and then into action to heal and restore those losses by gaining insight into ones own weaknesses.

He's had quite the success in the country charts, this will probably become another Top 10 for him.

I love this song! It is one of Bucky's best songs yet! I really hope he gets some industry recognition finally on his second album. I had hoped he would be nominated for best new artist... but he was passed over again.
Can't wait to hear the rest of the new album.

gallopingold...which of Bucky's songs did you want to hear next? I heard Bucky sing "I Want My Life Back" live in Jacksonville, FL 3 weeks ago. It had a great reception ,but of course, I guess the crowd was really into him as they sang every verse of "I'll Walk"...all 5000 people. From your comment I guess you did not like that one either. Hope he can sing one you like on his sophomore CD.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this will go #1 on Country, and really catapult him there. I think it will be top 5 for sure.

I hear Bucky's "I Want My Life Back" is releashed EVERYWHERE to radio tomorrow (April 20). Hope it does well. I really like his voice on this song from the times I have heard it live and more recently during an online interview with Bucky in Chicago.

I've been hearing some interviews that Bucky is doing at various radio stations and he's very entertaining to listen to. I haven't heard this song on my local stations yet, but I've been able to stream it from other stations. Has anyone heard this on their local station? If so, what city/state are you located in?

IWMLB finally cracked the Top 50 on R&R this week. Starting slow but his others have done the same and ended up in Top 10. His record label seems to be giving him a lot of support and I hear he is all over the place visiting radio stations . Can't wait to hear it on my local station. So far I have only heard it from stations I have been able to stream. Best to Bucky.

This is a great song, but i really don't see it doing any better than the rest of his songs have done. I'm guessing top 20 with a peak just outside the top 10.

Joey, maybe you are right that all of Bucky's songs peaked outside the top 10.
I thought when " I'll Walk" entered the Top 10 it made a record of sorts for Bucky delivering 3 consecutive Top 10 singles from his debut album.
I googled him and found that his previous singles “A Different World” and “It’s Good To Be Us” peaked at #5 and #9 respectively on the Mediabase country chart.
So I am sure he hopes he will do as well with IWMLB as he did with these.

Using BB, which is probably the chart joey's projection was for (could be wrong though), Bucky's first 3 songs peaked at: #6 (A Different World), #11 (It's Good to Be Us), and #10 (I'll Walk). Although Lyric Street artists have a terrible track record with the lead single from a sophomore project (Rascal Flatts remains the only one to make even the T10), I would say that this is probably Bucky's strongest single to date (I haven't loved any of his singles, but this one isn't too bad), so I give it a good chance to make the T10, although I'd be quite shocked to see it hit #1.

Yeah, I was using Billboard chart...but I forgot that "A Different World" did so well. Hopefully this will make the top 10, I agree that it's a really good song.

^Yikes, that's a nasty track record. All the artists that Lyric Street has had, and Rascal Flatts is the only one that's had any form of long-term success. Almost as bad as DreamWorks, where Toby Keith was just pwning everyone else on the label.

While I've liked all of Bucky's singles so far, I think this one is probably my favorite. I'm thinking this is a sign of good things to come on the new album.
