I could very well be wrong, but the first time I heard the song, I kept thinking for some reason that it could do for this album like what "It Ends Tonight" did for their last one.
It's definitely a far sound and feel from "Gives You Hell".

I had this song stuck in my head all day... I have a feeling this is gonna be a big hit after all! If it is, it'll be the first ballad to hit it big on Pop in awhile (since 'Im Yours' maybe?) That'll prove that Pop is still willing to play ballads, it's just that the ballads that have been released of late were sub-par IMO.

Even if this becomes a hit, it clearly is NOT selling their album, nor their TOUR.

I heard this yesterday, it reminded me a lot of It Ends Tonight. Maybe it'll perform similarly?

If CHR were into that retro 80's throwback sound right now, this could be huge, but since that's not the case, I stick by this being a flop. And of course it was gonna take off decently, it is coming off a month long #1 hit after all, anything from the album would have at least cracked the top 50 coming off of GYH.

If 'It Ends Tonight' only peaked at #8, this won't crack Top 10.

The video is nice but this song is just blah. Completely agree with the retro description. Maybe George Michael or one of the Thompson Twins or something should have made a cameo appearance in the vid. lol

If 'It Ends Tonight' only peaked at #8, this won't crack Top 10. That and Move Along are their two best songs IMO.

Glad that the CC centralized playlist nonsense has accomplished something by killing this song.

I actually don't mind this, and I HATED "Gives You Hell," but I don't think they'll ever top the songs from the first album. "Move Along" is the only song in the same league as "My Paper Heart," "Swing, Swing," and, my personal favorite, "The Last Song."

This song is really growing on me. I think if it is a hit, it WILL help sell the album, but I also think it's clear that a large part of their audience buying their album was the alternative audience, and they have no cred left there really. So they have to pack in a few hits to really get album sales going from a pop audience that is more into downloading the singles.

First time I heard the single tonight. I was expecting something similar to GYH or DLS (same type of disposable music from them IMO), but I was super pleasantly surprised at hearing such a good song and watching a very nice video from them. Like, they changed 180 degrees from my perception of them after GYH (I almost hated that song). Its production is very mid-late 80s electro pop, new wavish sound, but the song itself is really good. Sort of reminds me of Killers' 'Human' that had a full 80s retro vibe, too, but flopped :'( I hope this can be back to life after all this Rhythmic nonsensical push from Clear Channel stations. Btw, I'm GLAD they didn't decide to go for "I Wanna", that is another forgettable, disposable piece of bubbly pop that would have made me completely abandon AAR...
