Fuck. "I didnβt want to do [the tour dates], because I want to focus all of my energy [on] this album ... I just wanted one touring cycle to just focus on this, but I was outvoted by everyone else who really wants to do it.
I just donβt feel like it's the Dixie Chicks time. I do feel, I feel like things were tainted permanently. So, I struggle with going out on five Grammys or going out - petering out." - Natalie Maines

So sad. :'(
At least I have a solo Natalie album to look forward to though. She better not disappoint.

So, I struggle with going out on five Grammys or going out - petering out." - Natalie Maines After hearing this I was sad but thinking about it again I think Natalie could change her mind in the future. I think a lot more people have seen the error of their ways and realize that country music was lucky to call the chicks their own for all those years. So while I doubt they will be making any new music for at least 5 years. I could still see a Dixie Chicks album this decade if Natalie's solo album does well. I could be in denial too but I would like to call it being very optimistic!

Ugh. I was so fucking happy when they won their Album of the Year, but not for Natalie to say Dixie Chicks are done and going out on a high note with TTLW. It's been 7 years, what the hell have you been doing girl?
She's making her own music (now), Court Yard Hounds made music, why can't they be doing music together??

Two days ago, they sang "Wide Open Spaces!" The Dixie Chicks reunite to honor Lloyd Maines with this Susan Gibson classic on May 16, 2013 at the Moody Theater in Austin.

One of the greatest acts of all time and they've been pretty much going to waste for six years :( We're really lucky to get performances like that, but new music would just about make my life.

Hopefully Montreal will be one of the 10 cities cause I'm dying to see them again!

If it's ten cities and not ten stops I could see it being:
Vancouver Edmonton Calgary Winnipeg (Maybe Saskatoon) Toronto Ottawa (Another Ontario city) Montreal (Maybe Quebec City) Halifax
I do hope Halifax is in there. They played two sold out shows when they were here in 2006 so the audience should be there.
If it's ten dates... I won't hold my breath.

We have rescheduled our performance at the Stampede Concert Series for Thursday, October 31, at the Scotiabank Saddledome. We look forward to sharing this special night with all of our fans in Calgary who have overcome recent hardships due to the flooding!

Wow. So they'll play together in Canada, but still punish their US fans because US radio blacklisted them 10 years ago? UGH! I would do anything to see them in concert (except travel THAT far, lol)
