I think there are a bunch of singles available for pop from this cd. I'd be happy with 21 guns, Viva La Gloria, or Restless Heart Syndrome, though this comes from 1 day of listening to the album so I may change my opinions.

^For rock there's a bunch of singles from the album, but for CHR I think 21 Guns is the only one that could be a big hit.

I love this song. It's about foxnews. Doing great on rock, I don't understand why songs like this can't do well on pop too.

This is too rock for pop. And we know how biased against Rock the Top 40 is. ;)

But Holiday was released a loooong time ago. The Top 40 scene right now is less Rock friendly than what it was before.

Wow. It's back up to #18 on itunes, and still rising! It looks like it will beat its initial peak.

Naw just less pop-friendly rock material out right now IMO...really don't think this would've come close to Top 40 even if it had been released in the late 90s/early 00s - think Minority was kinda similar in terms of chart run on various formats Addicted and Never Too Late did really well on CHR, and IMO they're both a lot harder-edged than this (so is Second Chance and Careless Whisper by Seether I think, even though they're ballads)

I think 21 Guns can do well. Before the Lobotomy? East Jesus Nowhere? Peacemaker? Last Night on Earth? Last of American Girls?

Yeah really starting to get into this track, but IMO there's nothin CHR about it (don't think they expected a CHR hit outta American Idiot either)...hopin 21 Guns can get them back on the pop or pop/rock scene (gotta go download it...) Honestly Green Day just never seemed like the kinda band to me that really cared if they hit CHR or just the Rock Formats...either way there CDs gonna sell...

I think 21 Guns is the most obvious choice for 2nd single. I would follow that with Peacemaker.

I'm not too surprised it's not doing so well. It's right around the area where Linkin Park's "Somewhere I Belong" peaked after their ginormous Hybrid Theory era. Of course, "Numb" returned them to the top 5 on Pop.

I think "Last of the American Girls" and "21 Guns" are the CHR smashes on the album.

I love Last of the American Girls, if that gets released to pop, I'd be ecstatic. I don't know how well it would do, but it would be nice just to see it released.
