This is more Country than Love Story. Have you listened to Country radio lately? Most of what it's playing could be considered Pop as well.

I wish they would remix it. I love my pop mixes of country songs! Well at least they have 1 fan I really think that your average pop radio listener, not ones on this board, prefer them as well. A lot of my friends don't necessarily like country music. Like me, they find the twanging and banjo thing annoying. Pop mixes fix those problems. :)

how would they remix it for pop when its already a pop song? supposedly it has gotten a 'country' mix for country radio. it was country pop to begin with. I believe the song being played on Country radio is the orginal version. All of Taylor's stuff is country pop and none of it is ever remixed for country radio. Will's right, listen to Country radio, Taylor and Miley are I believe the only 2 getting airplay on both formats but there are so many songs being played on country radio that could pass as pop these days, especially if were talking about female artists. This song is definately not pure pop.

The new add on FMQB, it says "New pop mix coming soon" Well, that confirms our question :) Someone should edit the first post of this thread and put that add in, because it looks great!

Hopefully the pop mix just replaces the banjo with guitar.
Also, this is doing really well on Country so far.

I think Fearless is going to be a great #4. :)
Love seeing it already doing so great on country! Don't think it needed a pop mix though. :(

"White Horse" still continues to move up in pop radio...
Humph. I like the idea of sending a song out to both formats at the same time, but I really think they're messing "White Horse"'s shot at being a pop hit.

white horse is the one song i truely feel they would have completely ruined by making it a pop remix so I'm glad they're not going to release it to pop radio.

Braces for a collection of "she's selling out by remixing" posts. When you start as a bubblegum teen pop singer, there really isn't anything to sell out. But regardless, her pop mixes aren't "selling out," they're just taking a pretty good song and stripping away everything likeable about it.

My local CHR played "Love Story"'s pop mix, while XM 20 on 20 played the original. Also, my local Kansas City station played the original as well.

Taylor didn't start out as a pop singer..... Exactly. People that make comments like that obviously haven't listened to her first album. Nobody in their right mind would classify tracks like 'Tim McGraw', 'Picture To Burn', 'Mary's Song', 'Cold As You' and 'Tied Together With A Smile' as "bubblegum teen pop."

"real" country music is gone for the most part.....rascal flatts, carrie underwood, and keith urban are all a sample of typical country music right now. i love "mary's song"!!!!! taylor's first single, "tim mcgraw", was definitely not pop! lol anyway, I think the new pop version will just add electric guitar and take out the banjo type stuff. i agree that you really would ruin "white horse" by making a pop remix for that one...

If Carries and Rascall Flats are country then so is Taylor. Even listening to Martina McBrides new album, Taylor's is just as country as that album. Its for sure country-pop but thats the sound that country music has right now. The songs themselves are country, Taylor's voice doesn't exactly have the twang but still its country pop. its country by todays standards

Taylor's voice doesn't exactly have the twang but still its country pop. its country by todays standards I think Taylor's voice has more twang than, say, Carrie's or Gary LeVox's.
