I love both. I really can't choose which one I prefer.
I would say this was a liiiiiiiitle bit bigger than LS, but really I'd say they're about the same.

I didn't like both when I first heard them. "Love Story" grew on me by the time it peaked. I got sick of "You Belong With Me" weeks before it peaked.

So since this isn't going to hit #1 on pop do you guys think this or Love Story was the bigger hit? Talking just CHR, I'd say they're about dead even. Sure LS manged #1 for a week, but the spin peaks of the 2 were pretty much the same. Overall Love Story, because it's sold more as of now, and was bigger on the AC formats (as of now). They'll probably end up being pretty even overall in the end though, since YBWM is still climbing at AC and it's sales are pretty much on track to match LS. I'm pretty sure LS peaked at 9300 spins and this got to 9900. You can't really compare digital sales because by the time a third single rolls around way more albums have been sold, depleting the single-buying consumer base. They seem about equally big to me, although I like YBWM much more.

I think that this song may've had a little more success, but Love Story will probably be remembered as Taylor's signature song.

I disagree. This is Taylor Swift at her finest. Her best quality is her spirit and nothing captures it better than this song (accompanied by the video of course) "Love Story" is good but nothing memorable in the grand scheme of things.

In terms of the Pop vs. Country mixes... The perfect song for me would be the verse and pre-chorus of the Pop Mix but the chorus and bridge of the Country (less 'noisy', more natural). I loved LS since the 1st time I heard it, not so with YBWM... till I saw the video and it completely conquered me. I think both are similarly big. I was just hoping YBM would reach #1 by this Sunday Btw, will the re-release include the Pop mixes of Fearless? Is there a Pop album already ala Shania?

I wouldn't call it for #1 just yet; it needs to keep up like this. It obviously won't be #1 tomorrow but it could be next Sunday, as Kings Of Leon have been having pretty sucky spin gains and Jay Sean's last two spin gains have been <100 (a setback for him but he is still the one to look out for as he could just as easily go back to huge increases)

I want this to get number one for just a week, then Use Somebody can take over whenever they feel like it.

#3 on Z100's playlist. On power rotation. This could pull off #1, then. BEP was about to start dropping until Z100 put them in power, and it got another 1000+ bullet and was #1! So, Taylor actually has a chance! :o

^ You're getting your wish! :o Totally bizarre, but in today's update it's gained a truckload of spins, breaking the 10k barrier, while the BEP took a massive hit so the song has gone #1 today! Update coming when All Access updates.

Haha... I had risen my hopes this Monday after knowing what happened at the VMAs. Then, I almost lost them after seeing many decreases in spins in the middle of the week. After yesterday's update, I thought it maaaay be possible. YAY!!! Hey, remember guys that Love Story also surprised everyone and had an awesome week at #1. GREAT present for Taylor!

All Access is annoying me severely with how late it is, especially given it was actually up punctually, last week.

WOW! What big jump in spins for Taylor! What big loss for BEP! Hey, hey, hey!!!!!!!!! OMG, I just realized, that with this going #1 tonight, both "You Belong with Me" and "I Gotta Feeling," the two songs that people classify as the summer anthems of 2009, will have gone #1 in summer! This is the last chart of the summer.

With that in mind, the other songs to reach #1 during the summer were "Boom Boom Pow", "Don't Trust Me", "Lovegame" and "Waking Up in Vegas".
"Boom Boom Pow" spent six weeks at the top, but five of those six weeks came before the start of summer. Its sixth and final week at #1 was back on June 21.

That is INSANE! Haha. It's like the CHR panel decided they wanted YBWM at #1 so they just took it and stuck it at the top.
One of the weirdest CHR happenings of the year. Congrats to Taylor though! So happy this made it there!
