I'll say yet again, as I did 2 years ago, that he should get into the deejay business. If he's good enough, there's good money to be made in the world of electronic dance, if he gets noticed by some of the best clubs around the world. It won't matter at all how much he sells, because it'll be all about the reputation he builds behind the turntables and possibly as a producer.

I waited for you at the record shop Walked through the doors and the record stopped Heartbreak on Vinyl was the name of the store Now the store is gone and we can't meet there anymore We were digging in the crates of love Well darling sometimes it just ain't enough Heartbreak on Vinyl was for people like us Who fall in love in Analog and never let go OMG, this is synth-pop BLISS! This is one of the best collections of music I've bought all year! Thank you for posting these lyrics. Blake has truly delivered one of the best albums of 2009. I can listen to the whole album through without skipping anything. I wish that this had been his first album, because this is who he is as an artist. Almost sounds like he's made an Erasure album (and this is a good thing!)

Jusy being stocked at Target is an accomplishment, considering how much first week sales were.

I don't see Blake doing good with the blog thing- he was burned heavily, it kinda cost him his career when he was ugly about some idols- so there's no way he is going to be honest about anything.

Blake's performing at Club 57 in NYC on Saturday. Can't wait to hear him sing "Heartbreak on Vinyl." Such a great track!

He seems to have found his niche and is finding success with it- good for him- now he better release 'afraid' next.

HOV is now #2 on the dance chart- congrats Blake! With only Queen of the Dance chart Yoko Ono keeping him from the top spot, he might be able to sneak past her next week. It sounds like a joke, but Yoko has had 6 #1's and the last 4 releases have been consecutive #1's. And she's 78! Anything is possible!

"Heartbreak On Vinyl" (the single) is NOW #1 on the upcoming Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart!!! YAY! Congrats to Blake! Atleast he's doing well with the audience he's making music for.

Look at how skinny and cute Blake Lewis used to be- just a few years ago. What happened?

I found this album on Record Store Day. It's a pretty solid album. HOV is actually one of my favorite songs on the album so glad to see it get released.

"Afraid" is soooooo good. And "Left My Baby For You" grew on me bigtime, mostly because of the "whisper sweet nothings" breakdown.
This album is disgustingly overlooked. It amazes me how something so good can just die a quiet, lonesome death with very little recognition.

He really looked good on the Idol finale, it seems like he has slimmed down- he looked 1000 percent better. I hope "Afraid" is the next single, I've been screaming for it ever since I heard it. Great song.

It'd be nice to know what the next single is- I think 'heartbreak' peaked several weeks ago.

Per his email list, a 'special edition' (aka re-release) of the album is planned and there will be a new single entitled "Till We See The Sun."
No word on when that will be coming out.

The gay community seems to have really come to his aid in helping support him right after he was dropped from the first record label. They did the same with Jennifer Hudson between her season and Dreamgirls. He seems genuinely appreciative of it, though it must have been awkward for him- I never pegged him much for hanging around gays before Idol- but he seems to have adjusted quite nicely.
He was dating that Haley girl from his Idol season- I know they were an item at one point- I'm not sure what the situation is now though.

I never pegged him much for hanging around gays before Idol- I actually got the opposite vibe. His originality and easy-come-easy-go personality seemed like he'd be cool hanging out with gays and straights alike. I'm not surprised in the least that he's open to the idea of marketing himself to the gay community. It doesn't hurt that he's made one of the best dance albums this side of classic-Erasure. I saw him perform in NY for the gays and they embraced him like he was Andy Bell himself. Fantastic.
