Personally I wouldn't say If U Seek Amy had a very good chart run but it was respectable. As far as this being one of her bigger radio hits, well, that's not really a huge accomplishment considering her track record on Chr/Pop. I consider anything that goes Top 10 "very good". Some people here will consider anything and everything a flop. IUSA's peak is more commendable than its chart run, most of which was spent in the lower teens and the twenties, which is what he was talking about I think. Didn't see the word flop anywhere.

I look at more than peak position to determine how successful a song was; I look at longevity, its performance in relation to previous singles etc. Also, at no point did I say it was a "flop".

This still had a very good chart-run. The climb was pretty slow and steady, and it managed a good peak. Definitely one of her bigger hits, radio-wise. Personally I wouldn't say If U Seek Amy had a very good chart run but it was respectable. As far as this being one of her bigger radio hits, well, that's not really a huge accomplishment considering her track record on Chr/Pop. I'll agree just because it's peak looks so out of place. If it were able to hold on to it's peak position for alittle while longer or atleast stay in the realm of 6-7-8 a few more weaks then I would have thought it to be more impressive in general personally. But the way it stands it's peak looks very odd. It's peak is very good but six weeks in the top ten (five of which were spent at number 9 or 10) isn't the most impressive thing in the world. However I wouldn't call it a bad performance at all though.

IUSA's performance was good, nothing more, nothing less. It wasn't the mega hit many wanted it to be but it wasn't a disaster either. About its longevity, as long as it goes recurrent I'll be fine. If it doesn't manage to go recurrent it'd be disappointing for an almost top 5 pop hit, especially when a song by the same artist that only reached #28 managed to do so (I'm talking about Piece Of Me).

Oh, and about this song, this is finally starting to go down in the video charts here. As of today it was #10 on Los 10+Pedidos (Latin TRL-like) but it still reached #1 for a lot of days

Mmm bland? Yeah, when it came out i said the same, but it actually grew up a lot on me, and now i really like it. It suits the song perfectly. It could have been better anyways, but it's ok. Come On Amy!, only two more weeks for recurrency. I'm afraid that if the -1000 bullet continues during the week, she will be around 850-900 spins, and that's almost out of the top 40.

She really only needs to stay in the top 40 until Sunday, which she will. After that, she will go recurrent the following week whether she's in the top 40 or not. ;) Anyway, there'll be another 3 recurrents going on Sunday so she'll be pulled back into a relatively safe position in the top 40 anyway.

Womanizer: 47-27-19-16-14-9-7-8-6-6-5-2-2-1-1-3-4-5-8-10-14-17 Circus: 50-32-20-19-18-14-9-6-5-4-4-1-2-2-2-4-7-8-11-16-20 If U Seek Amy: 46-41-36-28-24-21-18-17-13-10-11-10-9-9-6-9-12-17-21-25-28
And probably one or two more weeks till it goes recurrent.

Sorry but can someone explain the recurrent thing yet again? MLWSWY went recurrent the minute it fell below #20 (or so I thought) yet this one is out of the top 30 and still not recurrent. Does it have more to do with # of weeks in the top 40 which perhaps IUSA has not yet met?

I think it differs for each song. Some songs go recurrent when they drop below #20 and have reached 20 weeks, others below #40 when they've reached 20 weeks.

^ Thanks. I'm sure the rules apply to each song the same but I get your point. I guess MLWSWY spent most of its time in the top 20 so when it went below #20 it had met the week requirement. IUSA I guess hasn't been out as long as I thought it had.

Yeah, they do apply to each song, I meant that it depends upon the chart run. I think if it's already below top 20 before it's reached 20 weeks, it's allowed to stay on the chart until it drops below top 40.

A song that has been inside the Top 40 for 20 weeks will go recurrent once it exits the Top 20.
If U Seek Amy will tally its 20th week inside the Top 40 this Sunday and will go recurrent.
This is the last time we will see Amy in the CHR Top 40.

It will go recurrent a week from right now so 32 will be it's last chart run spot.

Can this go recurrent already? Yep, over 20 weeks on the chart and below #20 = recurrent. Congrats Amy! RIP.

The video is still being played on VH1 over here. They seem to skip everything related to the Blackout era, so i don't think they will add Radar to their playlist . Gimme More has been played only three times and that was on the "Top 20 videos to get naked" or something like that, and the reruns. It was aired two months ago. Piece Of Me and Break The Ice have never been played. MTV, on the other hand, already started playing Radar's video and it seems to be in a medium/decent rotation.
