Wow, it's doing amazing on AC and Pop! Looks like it's going to be a good hit for them. That first, largest number is their total spins across all formats, not their AC spins.

I really hope this goes for adds earlier than June 23rd, because that is just too far away for me. Good thing Boston usually adds songs earlier than their official date, but still. I have a feeling this song will be a huge summer hit and will lead to their new album being a hit as well.

How did they never have a big hit before? They have had a few singles that were this good. It seems to me the reason is Pop is only willing to give these "emo" genre cornered bands one big hit at a time. Panic! at the Disco had 1 big Summer hit back in 2006 and then the rest subsequently flopped, albeit the songs being much stronger than "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies". In 07 we had the Fall Out Boy re-assurgance with "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race" and "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" were minor hits. Last year we got the double whammy of Boys Like Girls ("The Great Escape" & "Thunder") and Paramore ("Misery Business", "That's What You Get & "Decode"). The pattern is consistent and it works in Cobra's favor. We haven't had a big "Emo band" hit this year. "Check Yes Juliet" peaked in the 30's and thus can't be seen as the Big emo hit this year. I only say "emo band" because that's what all of these bands have been genre-classified by the general public because of their followers being the Hot Topic Anti-Hipsters. Anyways, this is gearing to smash its way to the top. Call-outs are remarkable and this could be the big song of the summer if it's promoted correctly.

This is synthpop, not worthy of emo status.

But Cobra Starship is one of those bands thrown into the "emo band" genre without even actually doing emo music, it's been like that since they first put out "Snakes on a Plane".
Bands signed to Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen are automatically entered into the emo notoriety.

QUICK CUT: 172 Spins (+11) 92 Bullet (-4) Wow, by the time it is released it will be in the Top 50 or 40. Well at least the release date may give it a boost.

Anyways, this is gearing to smash its way to the top. Call-outs are remarkable and this could be the big song of the summer if it's promoted correctly. Its not Pop radio, but more the label using a strategic approach to start a following with all their signed bands at the correct time. If you noticed, there has been a formula to breaking their bands; releasing a few projects a year and putting them all on tour together to spread the word. They could have just released their big break projects all at the same time, but they would have all crossed each other out. FOB, then Panic, Gym Class Heroes, Boys Like Girls/Paramore, and now Cobra Starship. Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen is doing a great job generating a fanbase and maintaining a mainstream following for all these emo-style bands.

Cool yer jets. The song doesn't go for adds until June 23rd and it's already gotten this far before the end of May. It's off to a perfect start.

I don't want this song to become popular then everyone will like it and be like "have you heard of that new band Cobra Starship?"

I want it to be a hit obviously but I agree with your second sentiment. It's like, uh they had an EP and 2 full albums out before this My friend did that yesterday with The Veronicas after hearing Untouched on The Hills. I'm like the songs "how old?"

This song sounds like something off of the Backstreet Boys album in 1999...that's not a good, and definitely not a "cool" thing.

This sounds nothing like anything the Backstreet Boys have recorded, ever. Cobra Starship = Boyband in 2009 "Well they have a girl!" Whatever man, this group bites. And the harmonies, crap lyrics, lame beat....sounds like a watered down Backstreet Boys. Saying they sound alike actually is a knock to the Backstreet Boys. This song really sounds like "Everybody"...LOL, PFFFFFFFFFFFF! Nice!!!!!
