Released during the peak of the trip-hop movement, this album became a big seller in the UK in 1998 and became one of the signature albums of the year alongside Madge's Ray Of Light & Portishead's self-titled album as well. I just think the production of this album is so immaculate and original for its day and time. Why can't 1998 come back already? 1998 was full of rich and original sounds at the time, and this album was a prime example of that delicious fluidity. And of course, mostly everyone remembers "Teardrop", from its endless amount of cover versions, to the instrumental being used on the television show House.

I recently discovered this album a few weeks ago so it's not all that nostalgic to me. From the albums I've heard from them, I like this one the most. My favorites from the album are "Inertia Creeps", "Teardrop" and "Black Milk".

"Teardrop" was always incredible and I really enjoy this album. I don't have their others I'll admit. (But one day I'll get Blue Lines.)
My album rankers for this album: 01. Teardrop 02. Man Next Door 03. Dissolved Girl 04. Risingson 05. Black Milk 06. Inertia Creeps 07. Mezzanine 08. Group Four 09. Exchange 10. Angel 11. (Exchange)
