Why is everyone saying "I'm hoping that the english version is better"? The english versions of foreign language songs are almost always worse than the original, e.g. La Tortura. This isn't a "foreign language song" though. She wrote it in both languages, it wasn't a Spanish song that they re-recorded in English (like Ojos Asi --> Eyes Like Yours).

I love the HQ. Radio will eat this up. It's so different. I agree, this song sounds fresh and unique on the radio. Some people are shocked at first because the song isn't what they where expecting. But once you listen to it a few times you become addicted.

The press release they released today mentioned that several top DJ's are preparing remixes.

I think, since it's so different, that radio will either eat it up or won't play it at all. It's so unique right now. There's nothing like it out. Alot of people are starting fanwars between Nelly Furtado and Shakira, since they both have Spanish singles out, but Nelly's is so safe, while Shakira's is a monster.

I can't play this just once, i have to play it two or three times in a row. It's different and I agree with the above, US radio will either love this or push it away because it's different and not from a huge radio artist. I can see it smashing on the dance charts though.
I love the howl that she does too!

Hahahah!!! This isn't just in reference to people wanting the English version of this song, but to lots of people wanting song leaks, video leaks, album cover leaks, tracklistings, etc for a whole host of upcoming albums. So many of you are proving the new Black Eyed Peas song "Now Generation" true by the demanding nature of your posts. Check the song out on to see what I mean, if you can't get the message from the title.

Actually, it wouldn't be a leak as it was supposed to officially premier sometime today.

this has such a high annoying factor.
but once you get past that, you'll see that this song will have success. especially in the gay market.

Translation from a recent interview:
You could say this is the most "Discotequero" "Disco" album of your career?
It's a different album, the rhythms, the concept is mainly electronic to dance. But I still keep the fusions like the Indian Music and other cultures. There's Synthesizers but Also an ALUSION to The Barranquillian Carnival.
It's very 80'S disco, Dance... I believe that, in the 80'S pop there was more fantasy. Now everything is more direct and there LOBA is born, in the quest of that fantasy. Loba has been the reflection of my own individual freedom,as a 32 year old woman that feels it has the right to defend her desires. Loba is also a man of that kind and also the gays, is the human being who has its right to defend what it wants.

Why is everyone saying "I'm hoping that the english version is better"? The english versions of foreign language songs are almost always worse than the original, e.g. La Tortura. Well for me the English version is always better because I don't know a lick of spanish. :)
