I hope uptempo means sassy ala What Abous Us and not a dance song (electro or Urban dance) because Brandy know that's not her steeze.

If the first single was produced by Bangladesh, I'm expecting something like "Cockiness" by Rihanna.

Chris is rapping on the track and there is a version without him.

Chris is rapping on the track and there is a version without him. Wait, how do you know there is a version without him? Any snippets yet? I am a little weary of Bangladesh's work. It all sounds the same to me. Hoping that it really is a step-up from his regular work, and that it's really a different sound.

Yeah. That's my issue with Bangladesh (plus club songs don't tend to stand up over time for me). I can pretty much already tell what this is going to sound like because Bangladesh works within a very limited style.
However I'm willing to suck it up and deal with it if it gives her a hit. I'm sure the album will have other songs that I like, even if those aren't the type of songs that would be most beneficial for her to launch an album with.

I'm just a bit selfish i guess, since I generally don't like his beats.

I want her to win. She's in the same boat as JoJo. Great voices, just waiting to hear a hit.

SEAN GARRETT TEASES BRANDY'S UPCOMING ALBUMWe’ve all heard the buzz that one of music’s most respected talents is prepping for what is rumored to be a monster comeback. After a year of recording, R&B singer Brandy is finally ready to release her sixth studio album an RCA Records debut, intimately titled Two Eleven in honor of her birthday and the day her icon, Whitney Houston, became her angel. At the helm of the project is mega producer/songwriter Sean Garrett. He sat down with Sister 2 Sister for an exclusive interview about what he has done to make this new album a timeless masterpiece. “We developed a new swag on Brandy other than her voice. This generation is about swag; it’s about style – a lot more than just singing,” explained Sean. “You’re not going to listen to this album and say any of the songs could work for anyone but Brandy.”[/b] Sean’s cocky confidence about the project is sure to make her “Starz” (fans) and music lovers alike excited about what’s to come. Many of her fans expressed a dislike for the recent Rico Love produced duet, “It All Belongs to Me,” with singer Monica, and were scared it might dampen her comeback. “Monica and Brandy are both friends of mine and are like family to me, so it didn’t even matter what the song sounded like. Just the fact that they both are back and all over the place is the important part,” said Sean. “The single set the stage for us to come out and do what we do.”[/b] The identity of the guest artist on the album’s first single, “Put It Down,” is being kept quiet but it’s known to be a male artist who “both sings and raps,” and is set to release this week. Internet rumor has it that her partner on the track is Chris Brown, but his involvement in the project isn’t a secret. “Bombs [are] gonna fly—you best believe that,” exclaimed Sean. “I can’t give too much detail, but I can say the one we played a snippet of [on UStream] will not be the first single, but I think it is an amazing song that will be the second or third single. This is definitely going to satisfy her fans and introduce Brandy to a whole new generation.”[/b] The project has celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Chris Brown and Jill Scott tweeting about how anxious they are for the album, which Sean says is full of big ballads and club bangers. “I swear to you she sounds incredible. You are going to love the entire album. There are definitely six No. 1 hits on the album,” said Sean. “We had the opportunity to play with her voice and have fun.”[/b] BrandyDaily

Sorry Starz, but I take what Sean " The Poison Pen" Garrett has to say about his projects with a grain of salt. He loves to hype himself up, with little to no hubris or self-awareness.

Yeah, everytime this tool hypes a project, it backfires. But I`ll take Bangladesh word for it over his.

Brandy talks new album, single, touring, and Whitney.
I loved that she addressed her lack of performing her other hits, specifically "Sittin Up In My Room", and that she wants to tour. She also records the Drake song next week and she's working with Timbaland next week. She also did NOT work with Darkchild.

I think their chemistry might be gone. The songs he produced for the Human album weren't that great imo, they were rather generic.

I didn't like his songs on Human, and I think Full Moon (the album) as a whole is overrated. He did some good songs for that album, and of course, Never Say Never, but I could live without him at this point.

If Brandy ever made another song half as good as "Wow" I'd be musically set.

Hell no. Afrodisiac is truly overrated. people keep saying it was her best album to date. The music is way too dark and not catchy. Human is even billion times better than it. I would say Brandy's best album is still NEVER SAY NEVER. Not just because it was wildly successful, the album sounds like a personal diary for me. Every track naturally flows to the next one.
I would go for Brandy to work with Darkchild again.

Just because the music is dark doesn't mean it's not catchy. I Tried, Finally, and Should I Go are 3 perfect tracks from her that are dark and fit perfectly with her and her situation at the time.
