First official news from her ! Jennifer Lopez Talks About Influence Of Her Twins On New MusicBy Steven Roberts, with reporting by Larry Carroll Jennifer Lopez Talks About Influence Of Her Twins On New Music 'I just love making great pop/dance music with beautiful lyrics,' singer/actress says from the set of her new movie, 'The Back-Up Plan.' We haven't heard that much from Jennifer Lopez in a while. Since she and husband Marc Anthony welcomed twins in February 2008, Lopez has been lying low and spending time with Emme and Max. But the superstar singer/actress told MTV News on the set of her new film "The Back-Up Plan" (due in theaters in January) that she's excited to get back to work. "I worked on music while I was pregnant and while I was at home, but now to really get into it and focus on it and to finish the project is exciting," Lopez said. She is already working on her next album, which will be the first since 2007's Brave. Lopez said she's working on a few singles and trying to finish the album, so it could be out later this year. The album will have a very focused concept, but she wasn't willing to reveal exactly what that concept is just yet. "You can't help but put not only your kids into it, but to put anything you are going through in your music," she said. "That's the only thing you can really sing or write is stuff that you know. The more music you make and the more that you get into it and the more you write, the more you realize that's all you can write." She said that the leaked singles "One Love" and "What Is Love" do hint at the direction of the album. "You can kind of get a gist of where I'm going with it, I think," she said. "But yeah, I love those songs, and I think they'll be great hits. I don't think they'll be the first singles. I just love making great pop/dance music with beautiful lyrics, and that's what I always kind of go for." www.mtv.com/news/articles/1613887/20090612/story.jhtml_______________________________ October 2009People.com confirm that 'Fresh out the oven' is not Jen's new single, and the Lola persona is just for tthis song, they also say that the upcoming album is called 'Love?' and will be released in january. Jennifer Lopez's new album Love? is due in January, but fans of the singer-actress can get their fix now, with the release of a dance track titled "Fresh Out of the Oven," featuring the rapper Pitbull. A note of explanation: Lopez's new song will not appear on her upcoming album – and a Web site established to promote it, featuring a dancing female figure named Lola, has spawned rumors that Lopez has adopted a new persona. Not so. "Lola is just for this song, it's not her ongoing persona," says a source close to the singer. "It's something fun. She hasn't become Sasha Fierce [Beyoncé's artistic alter ego]. There won't be anything to do with Lola on her Love? album." "This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun," Amanda Ghost, president of Epic Records tells PEOPLE. "Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song."

If 'What Is Love' and 'One Love' are what she thinks will be "great hits", I don't think we should expect a successful comeback anytime soon...

Well lol Jen isn't going to be on MTV and say "WIL & OL" are complete trash lol...I want an uptempo dance record for the 1st single and atleast a song that has good potential to be successful as a 2cd single.

I wouldn't mind them being album tracks but as singles they wouldn't work and I'm sure she knows that. I myself also won't a hot dance record as the first single. She needs to ditch that 'Brave' material & take us back to 2001 when she was the queen.

Well she did go along with "Hold You Down" and "Do It Well" as singles, so I don't know how much I trust her taste. I used to love her music, especially during On The 6, but Rebirth and Brave were really weak. I like the idea that she's going to be going back to dance-pop, because I like her doing that kind of music and I think it's her best bet for a hit at this point, not singing over hip-hop samples. It's going to take something really good though. She hasn't had a major US hit in what will be about 7 years by the time she releases a lead single, and her age isn't going to do her any favors either. Good luck to her though!

I like that their going for a specific concept, because one thing i didn't like about Rebirth & Brave is that they were all over the place the songs didn't go together.

It's amazing how Jennifer has completely lost her cool-factor. Earlier in the decade, she was the coolest chick around. Now, she's seemingly lost touch completely with this younger generation and I'm not sure if she knows how to get back to being the hip 'it girl' like she once was.
I hope she surprises us all, though.

At any rate, I think Jennifer will still have a major presence in the gay clubs and have a great deal of Billboard Club Play success, so a move towards dance will probably pay off either way.

Aplus members Anesha and Antea, who wrote One Love and Hooked On You, they did backing vocals on What Is Love, just posted these exciting tweets on twitter: Personally I’m really excited about this! Jim Jonsin produced Lil Wayne’s smash ‘Lollipop’, Beyoncé’s ‘Sweet Dreams and ‘Radio’, T.I.’s ‘Whatever You Like’ and Danity Kane’s ‘Showstopper’ just to name a few. Jim Jonsin is also Pitbull's main producer! So this sounds like a huge upbeat smash to me!!

J.Lo used to be the $hit but then she began dating Ben Affleck and made that horrible move GIGLI, released crappy singles, and then married skeletor Marc Anthony, and stopped making movies.
She should have been doing 1 movie a year! NO EXCUSE!!! Oh well. hot flop

I love JLO and IMO she is one of the best artists out there who never fails to deliver. I just hope she focus on music this time and on nothing else.
Brave was released when she was pregnant and was on tour. Rebirth was released and she really didnt care.
This time I want her to be really out there promoting it. She is one of those acts who has the best singles catalog ever. I'm excited for this

Eh. Danja has seemingly run out of steam lately. Was I the only one who thought "Hooked On You" was hot as hell?

Was I the only one who thought "Hooked On You" was hot as hell? i liked it at first but not after a few listen, i don't like her voice at the very beginning of the song and the i don't like the lyrics they belong to some 20 something popstar. Some recent Jlo pictures ! July 4 @ DisneyLand July 11 Leaving Madeo restaurant

I still remember being shocked that "Hold You Down" was a single. Who's decision was that? I know they were trying to replicate "All I Have," but... no.

Well I hope she knows that lol. & her last album was pretty shitty altogether and when you really look back "Do it Well" was honestly the best choice for the lead single even though it underperformed. I really wish they woulda tried "Forever" or "Brave" as follow up singles instead of ditching the project altogether but she was pregnant so its understandable. But as already stated in this thread I really hope she puts all her focus into this album. I was watching her older videos and it really made me realize how much I miss her and want to see her on top once again. I have hope especially with Danja & Jim Jonson on board. Hopefully she still can get down on the dancefloor too.

I use to love Jennifer Lopez. She was my favorite. I loved "On the 6" "J.Lo" and "This is me..Then" But after Rebirth she lost me. That album was weak. Brave was even worse, and I lost hope in her. Hope she comes back strong. She needs another album like "J.Lo"

I agree, it's the song that all but killed Rebirth's momentum and her singing career along with it. I did actually enjoy Hooked On You, though. Rebirth and Brave actually had some very good album tracks, but were clouded with filler. She needs a more cohesive dance sound this time around IMO. A hit romantic comedy would be an excellent way to reintroduce her to the public before the album.

LOL, I kinda really liked Brave when it was released. It's been a long time since I last listened to it, though.
