She actually co-wrote three tracks on "Circus", she co-wrote two tracks on "Blackout" That's right, thanks for the correction. Even though many of her songs she writes don't get released, they are among my favorites from her. They always add so much to the album. Circus has actually been her worst writing effort yet IMO. My Baby and Mmmm Papi are very weak tracks for me. On the other hand, Mannequin is a very strong track. They should at least include 5 songs that Britney had a hand in writing for the next CD, to show movement. Hopefully they are more along the lines of Everytime/Mannequin and not Dear Diary/My Baby/Mmmm Papi.

I think all of the songs that Britney has had a hand in writing are respectable pop tracks if nothing else.

I like most of her self-penned tracks. I even remember her first writing effort back in 99 with IM SO CURIOUS. (Great track btw) Larry has done a commendable effort in getting her back on top BUT we need lots of artistic growth on the next CD.
I want songs about $hit she's been through, NEW producers, more Britney written tracks, and some featured guest artists. I love Britney, but damn, can't she ever find some people to work with. I would love a rap from Drake or duet with Justin.

Britney is very exclusive when it comes to collaborations, she did one random duet with a guy named Don Phillip for her debut album that no one has heard of before or since, she did do some collaborations with the Ying Yang Twins and Madonna back with In The Zone but that's pretty much it.

According to Lynn Spears there is a newly recorded Britney/Justin duet. I really hope it is on his album, since it didn't make Circus. I bet the two of them could make some awesome music. It would be a shame if we never got to hear it.

That would be depressing. lol.
Why do you think it's not true? Lynn Spears is more confirmation than just thinking it never happened. I'm not saying she is the best source, but it would be really weird for her just to make something like that up. Her book was going to sell, regardless of that kind of info, just because of the subject matter.

GimmeBritney.com can exclusively reveal that Britney is planning to release her second Greatest Hits album this year.
The album will feature tracks from Blackout and Circus, plus another 6 new tracks which Britney is said to be in the process of recording. We already know that she's currently in the studio with Max Martin - the guy behind Baby One More Time and If U Seek Amy.
The album is due for release in September to coincide with the 2nd North American leg of her current Circus tour.www.gimmebritney.com/2009/07/britneys-greatest-hits/Credit - GimmeBritney.com

Yeah, it's definitely bullshit, but I wouldn't mind six new songs.

You forgot the colaboration she did with K-Fat. I don't want a new Greatest Hits. It's a big no no. If I were Jive I would milk Circus for all its worth.

why would the GH album have songs from blackout? that album didn't have any hits. Gimme More #3 Piece Of Me #18It actually would be inline with her recording contract. Her new recording contract that she signed in 2005 was three albums for $10 million USD. Blackout, Circus and Greatest Hits: x2 would fulfill her requirement to end her second contract. Also if Jive wants to lay claim on the Blackout and Circus singles this would be the album to do that.

why would the GH album have songs from blackout? that album didn't have any hits. GM and POM did better than Circus and Amy worldwide. Even BTI peaked higher than Amy in some countries.

OKAY, but Wmzr and Circus are Britney's 2 biggest hits EVER in America, right after Baby and Toxic.
Shattered, I believe a compilation album IS coming this fall BUT it won't be in September. That's way too soon. The album will more likely drop in November with a single in October. As many albums RADAR has been on, it better turn out to be a BIG hit for her.

I hope they won't promote it as a Greatest Hits package. I'd rather them just say that it's a compilation of the 2 albums plus new tracks in order to cash in more bucks during the holiday season.

GM & PoM may have peaked higher in some countries than Womanizer & Circus, but that doesn't mean they were bigger hits. There was simply tougher competition. You need to look at their sales totals to gauge which hits were bigger than the others.
As for the GH rumor, she's released seven singles since her first GH package. It'd be pretty ridiculous for her to drop another one so soon.

^ She's actually released 8 singles since the first GH:
1. 'Someday' 2. 'Gimme More' 3. 'Piece of Me' 4. 'Break the Ice' 5. 'Womanizer' 6. 'Circus' 7. 'If U Seek Amy' 8. 'Radar'
Anyway, I do agree that the new idea of a new GH already is pretty ridiculous. It's too soon.

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter how many greatest hits albums she has. Michael Jackson had over 30 different hit album compilations released over the past 40 years.
JUST DEAL WITH IT! As long as she gets more hits in her catalog that's all I care about.

Will this new compilation be presented as a new GREATEST HITS album? That is the real question IMO.
If it is promoted as a release to accompany the tour, mixing together her recent hits with some new tracks then I think it will do well, but it just won't work if it's presented as a fully-fledged GREATEST HITS release.
I do wish she'd just rush out another album for Christmas.

If they give us a cover as hot as the one below then I'm supporting the idea 15654 times per cent! Anw, here is Britney's 'interview' on ET.

So Mannequin is the third song Britney has choreographed, interesting.

Here in Belgium, the papers they say that there was no ambiance in the public, and that she couldn't 'grab' the audience. That's totally not true and I wrote a letter to that paper and they printed it today . Maybe the 'greatest hits' is something like Michael Jackson's HIStory (first disc old song and 2nd one new songs).
