Not sure if this is grounds to start a topic (although I remember the "Love Story" topic was started similarly), but Gloriana announced during their July 4th concert that "How Far Do You Wanna Go?" will be their next single. The video for "The Way It Goes" was released just to tide their fans over as they wait for the next single. source: glorianafans.com

Yesssss! This is so exciting! I absolutely hate "The Way It Goes" it's such a "blah" song. I've heard several songs off of their album, and there are sooo many good ones, "How Far Do You Wanna Go?" included! So excited for this, love the song, hope it does well!

This one is the album opening track for their self-titled debut and it really recalls a Fleetwood Mac song (as if they needed to be compared to another 2 guy 2 girl group but it is unavoidable). That being said, there's no way this one's not a hit.

iTunes has this album available for pre-sale with three bonus live tracks... "How far Do You Wanna Go", "The Way It Is", and "Wild At Heart".

I hope the album doesn't get delayed, since Wild at Heart mysteriously fell off this week.

Gloriana's gone recurrent after touching the Top 10 of one of the charts. The album will NOT be delayed.

I don't think this song is as good as "Wild At Heart", but maybe since they had a decent-sized hit with that song, this one can be their first Top 10. I'll support it because I think they are talented, but I don't love this one. Something is missing, I think.

Not a bad single choice. I hope "Time to Let Me Go" gets released at some point, as it's probably the best song on the album.

I think rsmatto is mistaken. "Wild At Heart" didn't go top 10 on Billboard or Mediabase. It went Top 10 on the Indicator Charts and the Music Row Charts. these charts monitor "small market" charts.

^No, Wild at Heart fell off the 8/1 Billboard chart. And the question is: WHY? I think most of us here still don't understand what happened.

Someone at Billboard probably said "Let's yank something at random just to #(*@$ with people, then put it back next week"? I'm hoping this pulls that wonderful un-recurrent trick. (Wouldn't it be even weirder if it and "Bobbi with an I" re-entered on the same week?)

(Wouldn't it be even weirder if it and "Bobbi with an I" re-entered on the same week?) The Billboard recurrent rule will drop any song that is over 20 weeks old (and is not in the Top 10) and has lost a significant amount of audience. Sometimes they leave songs on for a grace week if they have lost audience but the amount isn't all that big. Then they will pull the song in the second week where audience is lost, even if it is a small amount. In Gloriana's case, "Wild at Heart" had lost exactly 800,000 in audience on Mediabase for the 7-day period where Billboard tracks the chart. Not sure what the figure was on Billboard as we no longer get the numbers, but that's a pretty significant amount of audience for a song that's been on the chart for 25 weeks, so it was pulled.

Perhaps Billboard's knowledge that Gloriana is releasing a new single played into the decision to send the old one to recurrency. I think they are more generous with grace weeks, sometimes even if the loss is greater than one million, if the song involved is still being promoted, or at any rate not being replaced.
No, this song won't come back next week. No, Billboard doesn't routinely violate its own recurrent rules (as was stated on another thread). If you don't understand the rules, there's no shame in that, just ask. Making up stuff is unattractive.

So, if WAH started gaining airplay again (it actually is), and imagine that it goes top10, top5 or even #1 (I said imagine) on Mediabase... still won't show up on BB? That's not fair.

Well, if that happened, then they'd probably put it back on, wouldn't they? Isn't that kinda what happened to "Almost Home"? It had just barely crawled to #34 in it 20th week, they pulled it, it started getting a ton of airplay, so it re-entered at #25 two weeks later.

It's definitely possible 'Wild At Heart' would get re-added to the chart if it gained a significant amount of airplay. However, as evident with "Bobbi With An I", it would need to gain enough for BB to be certain it wasn't a one or two week increase and was a true substantial turnaround for the song.
If it was the #1 song in the country it WOULD be on the chart, for sure, mairy.

Country radio station programmers should get together & start playing WAH like crazy just to screw with the chart.

I'm not sure WAH is really gaining spins, or if its increase is due to a panel change at MB; in any case a small increase at MB does not necessarily mean an increase on the Billboard panel.
But let's say it is increasing. Billboard will watch it and re-add it if it does really well. But I thought -- maybe it's a mistake to believe what's posted on this board -- but anyway I thought they had announced a new single. If they're releasing a new single, in what fantasy world would WAH move to the top 10 or to #1?
Wait. It just has to be a mistake to believe what's posted on this board. Hammer, you take it from here. You answer the questions.

Black Eyed Peas had their 1st single 'boom boom pow" still at #1 while their 2nd single "i gotta feeling" was already up to #12. Anyway i know its only mediabase but +109....cmon keep on spinning that song.

Well I haven't really been following this song closely until they pulled it...but it is currently up a spot to #15 on Mediabase with a decent bullet.
Zac Brown Band announced "Toes" as their next single while "Whatever It Is" was just climbing through the top 10 -- so personally I don't think that was the problem for Gloriana. (although it probably didn't help them any)
I thought the song had a chance at making the top 10, but top 15 (on mediabase) isn't so bad for a debut.

Decent bullet = down almost 400k for the week from Monday through Saturday morning's update. If every song had that good a bullet, there wouldn't be any songs on the chart at all.
