how anyone can expect a 4month-old single to sell an album is beyond me people are being overly dramatic. 2 singles to promote the album (obsessed caters to her new fans, IWTKWLI caters to her 90s old fans). That's a good move.

Actually it kinda makes sense even though I don't like the new song...

Yes, I really don't like the new song neither, but It should be a good move. If Beyoncé & Rihanna can have two singles moving up at the same time, then Mariah can do it too. And by that time Obsessed should be top 15/10, so even if it dies, it already did well.

It'll be good for Urban/Urban AC and Rhythmic because she should be in the midst of peaking

From a "sell-the-album" standpoint, this makes sense.
From a "sell-a-single" standpoint, WTF?

Look how long it took just for CHR to accept one Mariah song, I doubt they're going to be so willing to have 2 songs in rotation. Besides, releasing Halo and Sweet Dreams during the previous singles' run actually kind of screwed up their runs.

This thing that a thread has to stop at 90 pages needs to end. We should go back to the 100 page per thread limit like it used to be.

I agree. An admin came in and said we can't start another thread until this one reaches at least 90, but I'd love to get to 99.

THe IASF thread started "malfunctioning" before 90 pages if I'm not mistaken and lost some pages for a bit. I guess that's cuz there was a ton of pictures/videos being posted though.

Note: I locked the other thread for now because this thread hasn't made it to page 90 yet. A brief history of page limits on threads on Pulse: Era 1: Unlimited. Threads would reach 200 pages and up at times, but occasionally a thread would implode and several pages would be lost. Era 2: 100-page limit. This was instituted because when threads would implode, it was usually after a thread had gone over 100 pages. Era 3: 90-page limit. This was instituted... by no one, really. People just started jumping the gun, but it happened often enough that it eventually became the standard. If we close a thread at 86 pages, the next person to do it will close it at 84 pages, etc., then eventually we'll start seeing 72-page threads or whatever when there's no real reason. 90 pages is the limit. If a reply starts the 90th page, someone else can start the next topic at any time. If a reply starts the 90th page, someone else can start the next topic at any time.

selling albums is always more profitable than selling singles right? Yes, but it looks like at some point singles will overtake the album market. Last year was the first one ever that the digital #1 outsold the #1 album.
