Was the FLAB from Tracy any good? I loved it. I found a video of the radio edit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLjMmZZYfq0David Harness and Maurice Joshua have also done that song too.

You forgot Tracy young's mix of fly like a bird Yeah, but I personally don't like this song that much. It's a decent mix though, I think I Want To Know What Love Is should be remixed like this.

everyone thought mariah was "back" with emancipation of mimi, but she's really just proved to be a one album wonder with that one. nothing she's done since or long before has been worth a lick.....one good album in TEN years!

Up 14-9 on the Club Play chart!
is it just me or it's really climbing too slow for it to reach the top spot? :(

The mixes are not very great, but, I think part of the somewhat popularity on the dance charts is the actual lines "I want to know what love is. I want you to show me." I think there's an iconic feeling when you hear classic songs on the dance floor. That's the only thing I can guess would be a reason for it's semi-good chart position.

i don't think it can reach number 1. but if it can, i will be happy for Mariah. I don't think this is deserving at all of a #1. This cover is underwhelming and the remixes reflect that. More deserving artist should be heard over this. Sorry, don't want to hate on Mariah, but I just don't love this.

There are also a promo with some mixes by Love 2 Infinity. 1. Love 2 Infinity Radio Edit 2. Love 2 Infinity Mix*gag* OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I'm like freaking out right now - how much would I love, love, LOVE to hear their take on this! Unlike most of the other people here, I think this entire remix package was brilliant - every single mix. When I first heard the original verison of the song and it was 80 BPM, I was like awwhhh shucks, they're gonna have to slow down the vocals. How surprised was I when EVERY SINGLE remixer who did an uptempo mix decided to speed up the vox and make it regular club-tempo of 128 BPM or whatever. All did an absolutely brilliant job with the vox. Is Mariah's timbre going to sound as unwavering and consistant as if she were singing at 110 BPM sped up to 128? Of course not. There will be the inevitable "billy-goat" effect here and there. But keeping in mind the challenges the remixers had to work through with the extreme time-compression on the vocals, they did a bang-up job every one of them. My favorite is the Nu Addition mix (that's one half of Soul Seekerz, no?) and Moto Blanco's full mix is good too. Chriss Ortega gets a big slurpy raspberry from me for NOT including the key-change in his mix, but other than that I thought all the mixes rocked and I was happy to buy the entire remix EP off Masterbeat. Definitely worth the money. I don't know if Joey Arbagey is still A&R-ing her remix projects, but whoever assembled this great bunch of mixes deseves major kudos from me. Loves it!

what, on the Billboard dance club-play chart? Good - I hope it gets to #1! Everything about this release was great, the mixes themselves, the vocal treatment, the big names they got, the song itself, the TIMING especially (i.e. the speed at which they rushed the remix package out to fans) like it was available on Masterbeat.com the second it was promo'd out to DJ's. Although WTF was up with that weird Cutmore mix where they pitched up her vocals after the key-change? She sounds like a damn chipmunk, and I don't mean the speed at which she's singing, I mean the key - they must've raised her tone by a full half-step artificially! That's kinda bonkers, but other than that all the remixers did a decent job I thought.

cool - thanks man! I found someone who had them last year too, as much as a huge LTI fanboy I am, I actually liked the Nu Addiction mixes ever-so-slightly better than these :) The label must've given them permission to post these on YouTube, since the screen name that uploaded them is "lovetoinfinity"
