It appears it has already peaked and might fall to #4 tomorrow.

It could reach still reach #1 which would be awesome for its total chart success. This is one of my favourite KC singles of all time and I'm glad it had multi format success

^It really has. I'm so pleased with its success. I'm not too bothered that it didn't hit number 1 on AC, I'm just happy it's had great longevity.

"Already Gone"'s longevity isn't really anything unusual for the AC chart. If it's still in the top 5 6 months from now, then it might be approaching record territory. Songs get 5th winds, even 10th and 20th winds, all the time on AC. In fact, it would have been unusual if the song's bullet hadn't fluctuated much.

This song does not want to die, lol. Does anyone know for how many weeks 'Gone' has been in the top 5 on AC ? It's been there since early February. But if you want to talk about songs that wouldn't die, let's talk about "That's the Way It Is" and "Drift Away", both of which spent more time at #1 than this has in the top 5.

I believe 'Breakaway' tied 'My Heart Will Go On' for most weeks at #1 on AC or something like that for a female artist. I am guessing that 'Need You Now' is coming dangerously close to that record.

Actually, for That's The Way It Is, you mean #2. It was #2 for like 15-20 weeks. The record for weeks at #1 on the AC chart is Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten, with 26 weeks at #1, starting August 2006 and ending in February 2007. Of course, then in 2007 was the longevity of Waiting On the World To Change which went #1 for the first time on 3/2/07 and went off and on from #1 until its 16th week cumulatively at #1 on 7/20/07 (and then stayed on for much longer). So, this longevity talk for Already Gone is really overblown.
