The Boot has reported that Jason Aldean has collected his eighth #1 in Billboard. I have updated that for you. Congratulations, Jason!

Just want to bump up this thread to note that Lee Brice and Luke Bryan followed up Carrie Underwood with #1's.

Just want to bump up this thread to note that Lee Brice and Luke Bryan followed up Carrie Underwood with #1's. What chart was the Luke Bryan song #1 on? And for countryhistorian: I gather that you're using the Airplay chart. But are you going to use it retroactively? Because Billboard apparently is now cutting off Airplay chart history at the beginning of the BDS era.

Just want to bump up this thread to note that Lee Brice and Luke Bryan followed up Carrie Underwood with #1's. Well, Luke hit #1 on Mediabase but this thread has kept track of Billboard #1's, so he won't officially get that Billboard Airplay #1 until Monday, since Lee Brice held on for a 2nd week at #1 on BB.

Just want to bump up this thread to note that Lee Brice and Luke Bryan followed up Carrie Underwood with #1's. That can be done on the Billboard #1 Singles and Albums thread, not this one. The country moderator, drock89 updates that one seeing since it is his thread.

The new Hot Country Songs chart is a joke and everyone here knows it. P.S.: I see Country Weekly is using the Airplay chart as well.

I'm using the Airplay chart too, for updating my year-end list, the Billboard year-end list, and my approximated version of the Whitburn list.
But what do we do about the older artists, when Billboard has said their Airplay chart history will only go back to the BDS era that started in 1990? That's not my idea of what's right, but that's what Billboard has said.

Welcome Luke Bryan to the big list as he becomes the 120th artist in history with five #1s. They are: 1. Rain Is A Good Thing-2010 2. Someone Else Calling You Baby-2011 3. I Don't Want This Night To End-2011 4. Drunk On You-2012 5. Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye-2012

Because of The Only Way I Know, I have upped Jason Aldean's total of #1s to nine and Luke Bryan's totals to six. This is Eric Church's third #1, so he does not appear on the list yet. Congratulations, however to Aldean, Bryan, and Church!

Because of the Highway Don't Care, I have upped both Tim McGraw's #1s to 25 and Taylor Swift's to seven. Congratulations, McGraw and Swift. The next #1 McGraw gets will gain him entry into the top ten, pushing Reba McEntire out. I swear, McEntire is getting the short end of the stick lately. First, her TV show Malibu Country gets cancelled and last week, George Strait pushed her out of the top ten with the most #2s. Poor McEntire. At least her family is getting a lot bigger this year.

I have updated Luke Bryan's #1s totals to seven with Crash My Party. Congratulations, Luke! Didn't "Do I" reach #1 too? I remember Luke referring to it as his first #1, unless it was on a different chart and not the Airplay one. I also thought I read that "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" peaked at #3, so who knows. All of these different charts confuse me. Either way good for Luke!! :)

"Do I" peaked at #2 on Billboard Airplay (then Hot Country Songs). If you heard that it peaked at #1 that was probably on the Mediabase charts, and it wouldn't surprise me. I don't know that for fact, but it is very believable. "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" peaked at #1 on Billboard Airplay and #3 on the new Hot Country Songs, which countryhistorian is not using.

Oh ok got it. Again all of these different charts confuse me, but I am slowly learning. Wish they would make it easy and put them all into one lol.

Rival companies, different methodologies...there will always be a lot of different charts.
Anyway, "Do I" peaked at #1 on Mediabase, but it was blocked on Billboard by a little song called "Need You Now".
