Out of the whole top 20, only 2 artists have consistent hits still. Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney. If King George's record is broken I hope it's Tim McGraw that does it. The only thing that makes me think it won't happen is it took Tim almost 20 years to get 25 #1's and it only took George half that time.

I have updated Tim McGraw's #1s totals to 26 with Shotgun Rider. Congratulations, Tim! In the meantime, he becomes the ninth artist in history to score that many #1s. Poor Reba McEntire. She got kicked out of the top ten last year on the #2s list when George Strait nabbed his ninth, Give It All We Got Tonight. Now, she's out of the top ten on the #1s list. If she wants to get back there, all she has to do is score another #1, pushing Dolly Parton out of the top ten.

This is a list of ALL country artists to score at LEAST five #1 hits. H.O.F.-hall of fame artist. A.O.D.-artist of the decade recipient. 8. Alan Jackson-26-1991-2010 9. Tim McGraw-26-1994-2014 10. Dolly Parton-25-1971-2006-HOF 11. Reba McEntire-25-1983-2011-HOF One quick question, IF and that's a big IF Reba manages to pull off another #1 single from her upcoming album will she advance to #8 with 26 or only #10"? I would hope since she's the artist charting the longest compared to Tim & Alan that she'd get #8.

After all, she would be the tenth artist with at least 26 chart topping hits. Poor Dolly Parton would be kicked out of the top ten on that list.

The Only Way I Know-with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan-2013 4. Give Me Back My Hometown-2014-thanks zack97! 5. Talladega-2015 Congratulations, Eric!

I have updated Blake Shelton's #1s totals to 19 with Lonely Tonight. Congratulations, Blake! I want you to pay attention to his section of the list. Ready?
20. Garth Brooks-19-1989-2007-HOF-AOD (1990s)(had the most #1s during the 1990s with 17) 21. Brad Paisley-19-1999-2015 22. Blake Shelton-19-2001-2015 23. Crystal Gayle-18-1976-1987 24. Earl Thomas Conley-18-1981-1989
1. For the first time in his career, Shelton now has more #1s than his mentor, Earl Thomas Conley (time to start adding I Have Loved You, Girl But Not Like This Before, Too Many Times, and Brotherly Love to Conley's #1s totals to keep him above Shelton-just kidding). 2. Either Shelton or Brad Paisley will knock Garth Brooks out of the top 20 with their next chart topping hit.

Blake has an outside shot at really putting a dent into this list. I don't think Mr. Strait is in trouble, but I can see Blake maybe getting to 27-30 before his career is done.

Confused here: 1. GEORGE STRAIT-44-1982-2009-HOF-AOD (2000s)(has the most #1s between 2006-present)(the #1 artist of the 1990s)(had the most #1s during the 1990s with 17)
VS.
20. Garth Brooks-19-1989-2007-HOF-AOD (1990s)(had the most #1s during the 1990s with 17)
Confused here:
Isn't the #1 Artist of X decade the same as the artist with the most #1's during a decade?
14. Willie Nelson-23-1975-2003-HOF (the #1 artist of the 1980s) 5. Alabama-33-1980-2011-HOF-AOD (1980s)(had the most #1s during the 1980s with 26
AND
12. Kenny Chesney-24-1997-2015 (the #1 artist of the 2000s) 19. Toby Keith-20-1993-2011 (had the most 1#s during the 2000s with 16)
VS.
2. Conway Twitty-40-1968-1986-HOF (had the most #1s between 1980-2006)(the #1 artist of the 1970s)(had the most #1s during the 1970s with 25)

I will not list those here in trying to keep this post as short as possible. No, the #1 artist of a certain decade doesn't necessarily have the most #1s that decade. I have updated Dierks Bentley's #1s totals to thirteen with Say You Do. Congratulations, Dierks. I want to copy his section of the list:
40. Carrie Underwood-13-2006-2012 41. Jason Aldean-13-2006-2015 42. Dierks Bentley-13-2003-2015
At one time, Bentley had more #1s than Carrie Underwood. He had two (What Was I Thinkin' in 2003 and Come A Little Closer in 2005) before she had her first in Jesus, Take The Wheel in 2006. Now, they are tied. If Little Toy Guns fails to reach the top and the next Bentley single (from Riser or a new CD) reaches #1, Bentley would once again have more chart toppers than Underwood.

I have updated Kenny Chesney's #1s totals to 25 with Wild Child. Congratulations Kenny with a little help from his friend, Grace Potter. Now, let us analyze his section of the list:
10. Dolly Parton-25-1971-2006-HOF 11. Reba McEntire-25-1983-2011-HOF 12. Kenny Chesney-25-1997-2015 (the #1 artist of the 2000s)
1. Chesney now has as many #1s as his Every Other Weekend duet partner, Reba McEntire.
2. Once Chesney gets another #1 (and he will), he will move past McEntire and kick Dolly Parton out of the top ten. NO females will be in the top ten when that happens.

No because I do not consider Bring On The Rain as a full fledged duet with Jo Dee Messina. I have discussed it before in this thread and care not to this time. Thanks.

Did you update Tim McGraw's to 27? Last I checked you still had him at 26 and in the chart highlights it says he has 27. No because I do not consider Bring On The Rain as a full fledged duet with Jo Dee Messina. I have discussed it before in this thread and care not to this time. Thanks. Oh ok! I understand and I agree with you. I never considered it a full fledged duet either. Sorry I didn't read earlier posts to see why. By the way I love your profile picture! I'm a huge wrestling fan! RIP Dusty Rhodes!
