Going for Pop adds on November 3 via FMQB.
This probably won't do anything, but I would love it if Mika can find some success on U.S. radio.

I don't know why they/he chose this.

This is the one song that stood out on the album.

If nothing from Life In Cartoon Motion could make an impact in the US, there's no way this will.

I could see Rain and Blue Eyes doing well on US Radio (the latter more a Hot AC hit)
I like this CD but agree LICM is the better album.
I think Blame It On The Girls is the most obvious to send to US radio, but I don't think obvious will score him his first US hit, it'll be that uniquely-Mika song that has universal appeal. Rain and Blue Eyes are those songs on TBWKTM for me, but who knows.
Dr. John though... mmmmmMMMMMM! Classic Mika, that melody at the beginning of the verses is just, f**king incredible. By The Time is the other track when I first heard it I thought "anyone could like this, it doesn't appeal to only those who like Mika." Perfect for winter.

i personally love his second album than the first. when i first listen the album, this song is definitely a standout track.i saw it reaching top 100 in itunes when the album release,so i guess the americans are loving the song. the video would have been better if it is in a story telling way and not dancing in the studio.

I like this, I think it could have a Grace Kelly type of success. The video is awesome!

Rain > Blame It On the Girls I don't know why they/he chose this. I prefer "Rain" too. This album is more of a grower than his last one. LICM was a lot more instant.

This song could have been good if it was delivered differently. Hmm.

In Any Other World and Happy Ending are two of the best pop songs of the decade in my opinion. Grace Kelly was a great track too, but in no way is Mika a one trick pony.

Bad single choice, but then, I'm not sure what a good one would be. Outside of "Lover Boy," there's not a whole lot of this album that commands attention, I don't think, and that song wouldn't be a great single, and wouldn't be released anyway since, for whatever reason, it's not even on the standard album.
"We Are Golden" at least has the catchy chorus thing going on.

I think seeing Jay Sean's success, Universal may be trying to capitalize and push another huge British male stateside. With The Script and Muse getting decent adds recently on CHR as well, it could work. Universal also did do a great job with Jay.

Apparently "Rain" is the second single in Europe! How I'd love for that to apply here. :/

If Mika did have success at US radio, I'd hate for it to be with this song. I'd say it's his weakest single to date- and there's tons of better songs on the new album.

Jay Sean fits the R&B/dance/RHY niche that is "in" on pop radio. Mika's music style - not so much.

"Rain" should have been the next single in the US too.
His best is still "Happy Ending" - which is incredible.

I saw the video for this the other day and I liked it. Although MIKA has been having a hard time breaking into the US market, this should at least please his fanbase.

I'm not a big fans of mika but i feel kinda surprise that his song is not doing well on US radio compare to lily allen and the ting tings
He have a lots of smash hits around the world but none of the song is huge in US radio even though his most success hit ever grace kely also can't getting any impact
I think release this song to pop station is a mistake because this song is almost same to grace kely. They should try to release rain which is more different from the other song and maybe it will be success
rain>>>we are golden>>>blame it on the girls
