We're overdue for a second single from these guys. Just found the CD today.
On first listen I guessed 1985 or It's Only Wednesday. But Raincoat would be my choice. A great summer vibe that would give them a great shot at a second #1. Umbrella Redux.

So this is 31 on Active and Mainstream...is that going to be enough to finally make the Billboard chart?

It's probably not doing well on Heritage Rock, that's why it hasn't appeared yet.

Mainstream Rock on Mediabase isn't heritage rock? Fooled me, it looks just like it. Where is heritage rock tracked that isn't Billboard, then?

Actually I think it's the same. I only saw Active in your post, for some reason.

Did you mean the Rock Songs chart?
Trivia : Before Crash Kings, can anyone name the last artist to hit #1 on Modern that did not have a guitar player?

I think I have your answer Dissociative:
Crash Kings on Active's format leaders:
Station Market TW LW WWIZ-FM Youngstown, OH 41 39 Monitored by Billboard WFTK-FM Cincinnati 39 40 Not Monitored By Billboard WXZZ-FM Lexington, KY 35 33 Monitored by Billboard KBOB-FM Quad Cities, IA 30 30 Not Monitored by Billboard KNRQ-FM Eugene, OR 29 29 Not Monitored by Billboard WIXO-FM Peoria, IL 27 31 Not Monitored by Billboard
That's 125 spins Billboard doesn't count.

Technically Billboard doesn't count any stations!

Well you did ask about why it's not on the Billboard chart. I think what he means is that BDS monitors the stations that end up in the billboard chart.

I was confused too. But your second sentence is common knowledge, so I'm not sure that's what he meant.

Trivia : Before Crash Kings, can anyone name the last artist to hit #1 on Modern that did not have a guitar player? Hmm idk did Viva La Vida have a guitar part, if that's not the answer then i'm going with Survivalism by Nine Inch Nails, even though I can't remember what the song even sounds like

I seriously don't know. Reznor was Nine Inch Nails's guitarist on that one I assume. All of the last releases for that matter.
I thought Gorillaz, but I'm guessing one of them plays guitar. Alanis Morissette possibly, but all of her #1s had guitar.

Hell no! I was hoping somebody would step up and know that.
EDIT : At least by bands, this may be the first ever to reach #1 with no guitar player.
