it will be a good DVD to watch. I wasn't so impressed with the 3D effects, but the movie as a whole is definitely worth watching if you're a fan or even a so-so fan. :)

Still has 17 songs charting in the Itunes POP chart, thanks to the movie.

She still has an ad, which inevitably helps as well.

I loved the movie. I gained a whole new level of respect for Katy as both a person and a performer. Granted they obviously painted Katy in the best light possible but I think they pretty much "kept it real". Her crying minutes before going on stage and going out and putting on a smile and giving a great performance really made me respect her professionalism. I can't believe that people are claiming that it was a "calculated" move. Is she a robot? Is she not allowed to display emotion? Does there have to be a secret motive behind tears? What I found most fascinating was the people around her. It was almost comical because they were honestly acting like people that you see in fictional movies about pop stars (i.e. Glitter). "why is she crying! I have no idea!!!" these people are f**king clueless. I'm sure they are good people and care about Katy but it makes you think about whether fame and fortune are worth it but then you see her interact with her fans and that little boy from make a wish in particular and you say "okay, it is worth it. You are making dreams come true." it was a sweet, honest movie and I had a much better time than I was expecting to have. It really gives you a behind the scenes look at what it's like to be in the industry and it's something I would show a music business class or something. It was well done and insightful. If it's captured by a camera crew for inclusion in a film which is basically a hagiography, of course it's a calculated move, regardless of whether the emotion on display is authentic or not. The film is doing what it's supposed to, which is advance her overall brand and dominance. I was referring to her crying being a calculated move. Like "OH the cameras are on! Let me cry! It will be really dramatic for my movie!" I really just didn't feel as though that was the case here. I feel like they were genuine tears. She wasn't acting.

Pop spin and SPS records. I think she broke one (or both?) at least twice.

I think CG broke one of the two, then E.T. broke her own record. I think it was the SPS record.
There was also the most consecutive weekly stay in the top 10, her name never left the top 10 starting from California Gurls to the end of Last Friday Night's run.
Also the record for most 5 million sellers: 3 of them came from this era alone (CG, Firework and E.T.), along with IKAG and HNC.

"California Gurls" broke both, "Firework" broke spins, "E.T." broke both, "Last Friday Night" broke spins.

thank you for answering.
but what is SPS?

Spins per station. Since the number of stations on the panel (can) change frequently, a better judge of a song's power is SPS rather than just spins. Comparing a song's max spins on a panel of 150 stations vs a song on 160 stations could lead to a huge difference between the two, so you take number of spins divided by number of stations.

It was given a radio premiere and was called a single, audio here. soundcloud.com/usvsyou/katypremSeems like it'll just be given that treatment in Australia though which sucks. I don't even care if it underperforms it should of been released cuz it was one of the best songs on the album. :'(

Hope I hear it on the radio someday! :) I wouldn't be opposed to them releasing it in the U.S., but only if they'll actually promote it and ensure it becomes a hit (which should be easy, but you never know). I wouldn't want her messing up her streak with a flop ninth single.

I think it would become a hit anywhere just because of now catchy it is, regardless. Also, on iTunes:
254 204. Katy Perry - Hummingbird Heartbeat (Australia)
82 63. Katy Perry - Hummingbird Heartbeat (New Zealand)
Smashing with her 9th single. :o
