Ah, 'What Can I Say' is such a gem that I think I overlooked a bit due to 'Someday When I Stop Loving You'
I remember how excited I was upon reading Carrie wrote this with David Hodges and Steve McEwan. :o
She really brought it with the ballads this era.

I'm thinking this is a favor or something because Carrie consistently sold more than 6000 seats before, so that would be a step backwards if she toured at places smaller than the CR tour.

I'm not going to 100% believe it until I see it on the Stabler Arena website or we see it from a more official source, but I also don't think it's impossible. Lehigh University might have hired her, like that university gig she had before. .... Ya know, I'm so obsessed with her concert dates that I'm just going to contact Stabler. I'll update if they reply.

What happened to Carrie's x-mas song on the AC chart? It seemed like it just went top 20 and now it disappeared. ???

Well I hope for an increase in seats at least. is there something about performing in a venue with a few thousand? if she is going to do 100+ shows again the venues are going to be the size similar to the last tour. she could do larger sized venues, with lesser number of concerts i guess.

Nothing wrong with it unless she's already done it. Carrie can sell more seats and I fully expect her to considering CC is taking off at Hot AC and the fact that she has her own special coming up. I want her touring venues to grow until she reaches 10-12k arena sell outs, then she can peak tour-wise. I'm just a success-hungry fan.

well, if success is quantified by the size of the venue, then she can do a few shows in a few stadiums. she might do bigger ones, or smaller ones than this. i just don't think size of the venue determines success... Bethlehem PA isn't exactly Los Angeles either, market isn't that big.

More Carrie co-writes that didn't make Play On have cropped up on the "Underwood Carrie" performer page at ASCAP (writing credits are in alphabetical order): "Can't Un-Love You" (Mike Elizondo, Zac Maloy, Carrie Underwood) "Chasing Taillights" (Mike Elizondo, Zac Maloy, Carrie Underwood) "Forever Ends" (Luke Laird, Zac Maloy, Carrie Underwood) "This Dance" (Zac Maloy, Ryan Tedder, Carrie Underwood) "Where Do We Go From Here" (Zac Maloy, Ryan Tedder, Carrie Underwood) Zac Maloy seems to be the common denominator (aside from Carrie) on all of the songs, so I'm guessing that he registered the songs at ASCAP.

Oh I know, I was just assuming she would only open 4200 seats again. If she opened all the seats, I wouldn't at all mind this venue.

whats the full capacity of the stabler arena?
i agree. when she did the nokia concert in la, she put out and sold out 8k in seats, double the number of the bethlehem concert. which coincides with the bigger market in la.

iheartcarrie on Twitter here :)
Looks like the concert was FAKE. My friend called them and the arena confirmed that she was NOT performing there (at least not on Feb. 12th, 2010)

I find these un-songs too be awkward and not particularly well written and of course Tedder songs are IMO mediocre for obvious reasons.

Well if Carrie wants a shot at eoty at the cmas she may have to take a chance and open up more seats this time or book bigger arenas to get to at least 10-12k. In Albany NY Carrie sold out in one day but it was halfhouse. They could easily open up more seats to get her to 10k-12k as tons of people were dying for tickets and couldn't get them.
Obviously each city is different though but I think Carrie can sell 10k or more easily in bigger cities.

You don't know if Zac and Carrie could have picked a different side of Ryan's mind and got a masterpiece out of the session. It may have been to late to put it on this record. The song got a couple of new adds that didn't spin the song last week, but everyone prepare for the decreasing gains (+1-5, or even some little negatives -1-3) on Hot AC. This is normal for all songs, however, after the holidays whether it comes back strong or phases out depends on whether it gets pushed or not...

Anything over 100K is good for me. Glad to see she's selling so high with only about half the numbers in. However, the updates can be deceiving so I'm not getting my hopes up too high until the final numbers come in.

Lovin' this week's sales numbers so far ! Carrie should stay in the top 15 by the end of the year for sure :) Carrie Underwood Takes Role Model Status SeriouslyNovember 30th, 2009 6:06 pm Author: Mary Beth Quirk While other celebs might be out there indulging in various late night escapades and wardrobe malfunctions, Carrie Underwood, on the other hand, says she doesn’t carry the burden of being a role model to young girls lightly. “I take it very seriously, and my motto is, I would never want to do anything that would embarrass my own children in the future,” Carrie tells fans during an Invitation Only Q&A set to air tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET on CMT. “I think that’s the best way to look at things,” she adds. “Or, I never want to do anything that would make my parents, my role models, disappointed in me.” As for how she arrived at the superstar status she enjoys today, Carrie is also grateful to American Idol. “I literally would not change a thing at all, not bad stuff,” she reveals. “Not Simon [Cowell], like, ripping me apart on national television, in front of millions and millions of people, because that brought me to where I am now. And I’m so blessed, I wouldn’t change a thing.” Invitation Only: Carrie Underwood will feature performances by the country songstress, including new songs from her album Play On, and a laid-back Q&A with the audience. www.okmagazine.com/2009/11/carrie-underwood-takes-role-model-status-seriously/

Wow at Carrie's number! :o What caused the surge in Miley Cyrus's EP? I was hoping to see Rihanna in the Top 5. For Miley, I think I read that Walmart had it on sale for $5 this past weekend. So it's looking like the first update included Walmart, the second included Target. I'm hoping Best Buy hasn't been included in the updates yet, because that should surge Carrie's sales even more since they had Play On for $6.99 on Black Friday. Amazon's also had a few instances of selling PO for $6.99 in the past week or so, and they tend to sell out pretty quickly at that price.
