^^^WOW...kinda sad. Why (and I know this will sound lame) is it always the ones that you would never expect? Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Randy been busted for DUI (or something similar) within the past few years? (aside from this). And then he went through the divorce of his wife amid cheating allegations. He seems like a good guy, but no one is immune from anything; this doesn't surprise me, because I could swear it's pretty well known that he has struggled with alcohol/drug issues in the past.

Can't wait to hear the Miranda song for the Hunger Games soundtrack! Hope it's a new song I'm fairly certain it is. I read somewhere she wrote a song just for the movie hoping it would be apart of the soundtrack.

Hope it's a new song CountryMusicIsLove had an article from awhile back that stated Miranda's band, Pistol Annie's, had a song on the soundtrack that Miranda wrote herself. I'm fairly certain the song people are hearing about was written by Miranda, but from what I've heard she'll be singing it with The Pistol Annie's. :)

^^ Either way, I'm happy. The Annies CD was the best one last year - I'll listen to anything they put out. :)

Here's Gwen Sebastian's blind audition on The Voice:
And here's a commercial of the australian version of The Voice, with Keith Urban as a coach:
It would be nice to see Keith collaborating with the lovely Delta Goodrem. Love her.

Mairy, thanks for posting "The Voice: Australia" preview and also the link to Jackie's FB page.
Keith is awesome in that preview for "The Voice"...I wonder if there will be a way for any of us in the States to watch it?
Haven't heard anything from Jackie...hopefully it will be good stuff. It's interesting that he got signed to Republic. That gives them 6 acts now...The Band Perry, Martina, Eli Young Band, Sunny Sweeney, Greg Bates, and now Jackie Lee. I hope they don't drop Sunny. Maybe one of the guys could be moved to Big Machine. With Steel Magnolia gone, BM only has Taylor, Rascal Flatts, Eden's Edge, and Ella Mae Bowen. Valory has 5 with Reba, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Jewel, and Thomas Rhett.

I was going to post Gwen's audition but I don't know how to post the vids, just the links. Gwen was AMAZING on that show and I really loved the originality that she brought to my (as everyone on here knows) all-time favorite song.
Besides the rocker chick Juliet Simms, Gwen is my 2nd fave artist.

I need to remember to watch this. I can't promise myself that I will, since I don't normally tune in for that show (I don't think I've ever watched it, tbqh), but I really wanna see it so bad.

Valory has 5 with Reba, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Jewel, and Thomas Rhett. Honestly, they could have six. They're part of BMLG but they also are a Joint-Venture with Universal Republic. FWIW if a country singer, somebody like Gwen Sebastian or The LiNE, were to win The Voice, they'd most likely be sent to Republic Nashville.

^Yeah, I had thought of that...that since Republic wasn't "completely" Big Machine (joint venture with Universal Republic in New York), that they might do things a little different and maybe have more artists. Hopefully, if/when Big Machine adds a 5th act, it's a female group, like we had discussed (not sure if it was this thread but I think it was) a few days ago..

Maybe he should be analyzing his own recent output before criticizing others..... Paisley trashes Macca's disc title Singer Brad Paisley has taken aim at Sir Paul McCartney and his "yes men" for coming up with the worst album title ever. The country music star is not a fan of the former Beatle's new release Kisses on the Bottom and suggests someone should have told Macca it was a terrible idea. In a series of Twitter.com posts on Wednesday morning, Paisley wrote, "It's only February, but Sir Paul is an absolute lock for worst album title of the year. Actually, maybe all time... It's like he's kidding. He's got to be kidding. Tell me he's changing the title back to the real one, right? Oh then how we'll laugh and laugh." He later added, "Dear Team of 'Yes Men' surrounding Sir Paul: you really have taken it to a new level. No one said... 'uh, Sir, uh... what about..um..hey maybe.." And Paisley suggests, "Even 'Kisses on the Butt' would be better, could mean cigarette. Or heck, 'kisses on the ass', possibly a beloved pet donkey. But bottom? Nope." jam.canoe.ca/Country/2012/02/08/19355766-wenn-story.html

Knowing Brad's sense of humor, I'm pretty sure he was kidding...

Random video of the day... Anyone remember Marshall Dyllon? Yes I remember them, they weren't great but I did like them. I have their album somewhere I'm going to have to dig it out. I believe they were the only act signed to Kenny Rogers label right? Or am I remembering something wrong lol

Any news on upcoming Dwight Yoakam and Gary Allan releases...
Been wondering this also. What in the world happened to Keith Anderson. He was being built to be a superstar.

I've been wondering about Keith too. Hes one of those artists who start very strong and just disappear for no apparent reason! I don't get how that can happen. Someone finally achieves their lifelong goal of having hits and selling albums, and then they never follow up on their initial success and then they more than often never get another chance. And where did Gary go? He had quite a good streak going too. Dwight is at legend status now so I don't expect radio to ever touch him again. It'd be cool to hear new music from him!

has anyone heard any news on Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless or Rebecca Lynn Howard? I'd like new music from them but haven't heard anything on any of them in a while

I think Keith Anderson lost his record deal & just gave up. He got married & had a baby last I heard.

Pam posted on twitter last year she was working on a new album, but thats the last I've heard.
I'd love more Patty too! I miss the days when both these women were radio regulars during the 90s female surge.

I'm not even a Sugarland fan and it's starting to piss me off that they are still being blamed for this. Everyone knows nobody could've prevented this; the Indiana State Fair needs to take some damn responsibility and stop making Jen and Kristian pay for their stupidity.
