I don't actually know... at the time all we had was the top 50 from AllAccess and Quick Cut, and I don't think anyone bothered to check. Probably because there wasn't as much awareness of it that I recall. If we ever get that full Mediabase thing back from UCLA I will check lol I just know it got airplay.

Again...they weren't in the top 25 of the year, so they weren't included. He used the top 25 Billboard songs of the year. Billboard Hot 100 or Billboard Mainstream Radio?

I really like it, just because it allows me to relive all my nights out this year in five minutes without having to listen to a bunch of songs I'm sick of.

DJ Earworm's other works were discussed earlier in the thread, so I thought I'd ask - what do people think of Maroon 5 - Love & Wonder? DJ Earworm had access to some of their multi-track recordings so he pulled bits and pieces out of their songs and mixed them all together in an electro club mix. I think it's very nice -- I've currently got the extended version on repeat.

57 DJ EARWORM United States Of Pop 2009 --- - 336 0 336 3.106 +121 spins +121 bullet +1.056 AI
DAMN! :o
This could crack the top 50 for the final update tomorrow. "Obsessed" will go recurrent. "Body Language" and "Russian Roulette" are a toss up in the air. They are positive in bullets again, but Mediabase might purge them since we all know they will crash in the next week or two, and there's really no way they'll go top 40 again. They may even choose to send "Use Somebody" to recurrency since it'll be number 20 tomorrow and again, we know it'll just fall below 20 a few days after that. So basically, "Obsessed" is the only sure fire song to go tomorrow night, but if those others go, which is possible, then this will probably be sucked into the top 50!!!

I wish he had the true acapellas for each one of the songs in the 2009 mashup. It's too bad that he had to make them on his own, because those that he did sounded like the artists were in fishbowls (particularly "Gives You Hell" and "MLWSWY".)

That does put a bit of a damper on things. Perhaps as he continues to do these and they gain visibility, maybe he'll have more communication from the record labels to get the master acappellas for the year's top 25? He already has some fairly strong contacts since he was able to get Maroon 5 and Annie Lennox multi-tracks to work from.

It sounds exactly like IGF. Annoying beat with random lyrics.

Billboard Hot 100 or Billboard Mainstream Radio? Hot 100 I think. Very interesting. All 25 of these songs performed well on mainstream radio (nearly all of them top five hits). I used to think that the Hot 100 was weighted heavily towards sales and more or less neglected airplay (Crack A Bottle hitting #1, etc.), but it's interesting to see that overall, the big airplay hits are the ones who come out ahead.

AC/Hot AC play can really help toward making the year-end top 25 as well, most likely, given how much longer than POP those formats hold onto those songs if they become huge hits. It probably takes a major hit on all three to generate the right level of high airplay, then Hot AC/AC will keep it nice and lofty throughout the rest of the year once the song's done at POP.

I don't like this, but I do really want to see it hit the top 50 just because it would be such a rarity to see a mashup do that. It would be even better if this went top 40.

P.S. where's "kiss me thru the phone" and "single ladies" in the mix? theres so many its hard to find where some r. "Kiss Me Thru the Phone"'s instrumental appears at 2:47 and the vocals are during the fade out. "Single Ladies" finds itself throughout the song, but in very small blurps. It's big "solo" appears at 2:10 and lasts for about a second or two before "My Life Would Suck Without You" comes in.

Can anybody find where Carrie's "Before He Cheats" was in the 2007 mashup? They show some BHC clips in the video but I don't hear any audio from the song in the mashup.

This song is dope.!. In an interesting sort of way, the arrangement of the lyrics are very inspirational considering the simplicity & frivolity of the lyrics. He seems to have the biggest songs of the year as the main instrumental for the years. IGF, Viva, Umbrella...

Everytime the video comes up, you can hear the words "right now." I think that's all that appears in the 2007 mash up from "Before He Cheats."
