There is no way of accurately measuring worldwide sales. This argument is pointless and anyone who claims to be talking facts is delusional.

For those who think "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" is a flop, the album has sold over 680,000 copies worldwide, which is by no means a flop in 09-10. If she had sold 200,000 then it would be a flop. She's doing fine. However, the album could have sold over 2 million copies by now, if her Record Label knew how to do their job.

This isn't that bad. Ne-Yo really takes things up a notch with his features. I liked HATEU as well though, so we'll see how it goes for her. She may need some of this younger talent on her records to stay relevant on the charts.

Mariah is the biggest selling female artist of all time and the most sucessful artist in the last 20 years according to billboard magazine. Sorry but she can do whatever she wants Mariah just wants to have the song of the decade for the third time in a row ;) I don't think she is the best selling female artist of all time. She has never made the Guiness book of world records. Barbra has sold more in the US and even Madonna has more album certifications. Your statement is not a clear fact, especially not on a global scale. Here is a list of the biggest selling artists and Groups in the "World" based on published facts. Madonna is the best selling female solo artist with Celine. If you include single sales she has a huge margin. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artistsIf we are speaking "US" only here is the other listed based on reported facts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artists_in_the_United_StatesIf you were going to count in single sales aswell. Madonna would be even further ahead of Mariah in the USA. In 2008, Billboard magazine ranked her at number six on "The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists", making Carey as the second most successful female artist, behind Madonna, in the history of Billboard Hot 100 chart.[14] Wikipedia. This will flop because this era is awfull. Now to make everything worse there is a blow up on Youtube of Mariah wasted at an acceptance speak.. it was even on the Evening primetime news. End this now.. make a dance album, let go of the ballads, or go have a baby. I miss the days of the Mariah singles that stunned you. Obessed was a decent enough of a hit but really this was handled awfull. The video shot photo's leaked and now the acceptance speak are going to put people off. She is brilliant vocalist that can come out with better material. She needs to stray from the Ac audience !... she pushed herself away from that along time ago and never got truly cememted in any particular format. "Mariah Carey's bizarre acceptance speech for Breakthrough Actress at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards gala has raised eyebrows and questions. The main question is, is Mariah Carey drunk in this video? The performance she won an award for was for the movie "Precious." The performance she is getting attention for is her acceptance speech which rambled, and more, including some slurring, making people think Mariah Carey was drunk. Interestingly, Mariah Carey was on the verge of admitting she was drunk. Before she began her speech, she said, "Please forgive me, because I'm a little bit, um." At this point someone in the audience yelled an obscenity, to which Carey replied "Yeah!" Later in the awards gala, Sean Penn, onstage to present another award, said: "Think anything's going to make YouTube tonight?" Obviously, he was thinking that "Mariah Carey drunk" would score headlines and lots of YouTube views. Of course, it's not the first time a celebrity has appeared to be intoxicated or drunk at some sort of event. While unclear as to what really happened, the appearance of the late Farrah Fawcett on David Letterman in 1997 is always brought up as a prime example of such escapades. Mariah Carey has also been nominated, as of today, for an NAACP Image Award. Hopefully she will not give us a repeat performance of Mariah Carey Drunk" if she wins that supporting actress award." She seems on a road to destruction... see for yourself www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQVfuyL03JUThis should have been a moment in her life!.. It should have been an honor to recieve that award!

LOL @ a Ke$ha fan trying to hate on someone with actual talent like Mariah.
Anyway, this song is great, I hope it does well, the only reason it might not is cos radio is not hot on Mariah right now, the song is kinda dated and we kinda heard it all before.

Maria's is the third biggest selling female behind madonna and celine.FACT.
Nan mouskuri being the biggest female artist is the JOKE of a century.Statements released by small time labels mean SQUAT.There was a time when pple believed Beatles sold 1billion records.
Madonna is HUGE becoz of her pop/dance sound which europe, etc just can't get over.
Mariah has THE voice and 18 #1s...They are equal IMO.

"Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" In my eyes is not flop....it has sold 707,000 copies worldwide...and its Mariah's 12th Studio Album in 20 years (Fastest Studio Album releases Than Any Other Female To Have Worlwide Success)
Kelly Clarkson is not on Mariah's level...."All I Ever Wanted" is Kelly's 4th Studio Album....and has only sold 1.3 Million copies....thats a failure
Especially when you look at Norah Jones & Alicia Keys, who both had no top 20 hit off their albums....yet, Kelly had a #1 hit....and 3 top 20 hits, Yet, Alicia Keys & Norah Jones are about to surpass her in sales next week.
and Kelly has been out for 10 months, Norah Jones a month, & Alicia Keys 3 Weeks.
Thats a fail

I enjoyed Neyo's verse to this, he really added something to this song. I wish the bridge wasn't as long and that they had a little more back and forth on the final chorus instead of Mariah just drowning him out. I like it better than the original, but still think there's no way this becomes even a minor hit, though I hope I'm wrong.

^ compare the #s all you want- Carrie Underwood is NOTHING outside of the U.S. -where kelly is very well known and has scored numerous w.w hits (again, Carrie has done zilch, outside the U.S.). Carries and especially Norah Jones lol latest albums also didnt produce 3 top 20 hits (one of them a huge multi week #1)! So yeah, maybe Carrie and those others will outsell Kelly just on her album (just in the U.S. alone), but Kelly still has the multi format, universal appeal- unlike carrie and Norah (who I believe is now on her last career life).
Back to Mariah. I dont see this song going ANYwhere. I totally wouldnt be surprised if she was boozed up to generate some kinda "buzz" for her album. Mimi needs a long break.

^ I assume you are pulling that info from your bigotted biased opinion? Cos I live in Europe and me and all my friends listen to Carrie. She is not a huge seller cos they dont shove her down our throats (thank God), but she has still sold over 1 million albums outside the US and Canada. She's not a 'nobody'. Everybody knows her from Idol, and anyone who has ever visited North America knows BHC. Kelly's last single flopped so hard in the UK I would not be throwing stones from that glass house of yours.
Anyway, on topic, Mariah.... well, I love this song, and Mariah can flop but she ALWAYS comes back. Let me tell you, she will outlast trash like that Ke$ha mess and the rest...

Do they even care about Mariah's success anymore or are they just joking around??? I am absolutely sure they don't give shit, otherwise something would have already changed at this point. This has been happening since E=MC2 and everything remains the same.

At first, I didn't like the remix, but afte a few listens, it's grown on me. I feel the original is more powerful, but the remix is sweeter. Now when I listen to the original, I keep singing Ne-Yo's part in my head!

Honestly, most people how have a brain will know who artists outside of the top 5 chav mess UK charts are. But obviously there are alot of dumb people in Europe who only listen to what they are fed, like ducks dying to become foi gras.
