Jay Leno isn't 40, he wishes......I think he's closer to 50. He isn't 40, and he isn't 50. He will be 60 this April.

Question: has an artist ever won Roty and Soty for different songs in the same year? And anyone have an idea of the last time an artist was nominated for both with different songs? Just curious. Thanks

Oh you were talking about JayZ. LOL, I thought you meant leno and I was thinking what has he got to do with anything. BTW, I think her husband looks ridiculous still rapping. Just because you are successful at it doesn't mean you look good doing it. I can picture it now Beyonce 40 and gyrating and Jay Z 52 rapping for her as she gyrates...I can image the ticket sells on fire to watch that......NOT! I prefer Will Smith over Jay Z any day. anyway, get to the grammy's you started this dissing LL cool J because he's 40 and has moved on from rapping to other things. Rightfully so, sometimes you have to grow up.

I like Kelly. But I would rather see Pink win both awards she is nominated for.
LL is a pioneer of rap. 25 years in the game. He is long past the argument of relevant/irrelevant.

Hit tv show? Of course not, Beyonce can't act. Sorry couldn't resist. But you have no way of knowing where Beyonce will be when she's 40 considering she's not even 30 yet. Physically she won't be doing what she's doing now at 40 and for that reason alone she won't be nearly as big by then. She does some serious dancing and squating, she keeps that up by 40 she'll need hip and knee replacements because she is wearing them out with those dance moves. LOL don't worry about the 3 times golden globe nominated actress that got NOTHING but praise for her role as Etta James! lol @ Sony couldn't resist when she has grossed over 1/2 a billion at the box office and over 750 mill worldwide..with like just 5 movies.
and you don't know what bey is doing at 40.. when Madonna is doing it at 50 and tina is even doing it at 70.
you ppl want beyoncé to fall off her throne..and it's just not gonna happen.. y'all said and have been saying she wasn't gonna last for 13 years now ..and she still here.. still top billing. grand standing on your faves!
just know that bey will NEVER do a cheesy reality show as some last resort to chart! none of her property ever getting foreclosed and she NEVER has to battle her record label to put anything out. whatever she says goes, no questions asked!Yea, and she'll perform for a terrorist's abusive son for two milli. Ki. Anyway, LC3, there have been a few instances. Check Wikipedia.

Well it didn't happen in the 90's or 2000's and I haven't found proof that it's happened at all so as of yet until someone can say it has in fact happened and prove it then this is the first time I know of that an artist has been nominated for soty and roty with different songs.

It's not the first time. As a matter of fact, U2 was nominated in ROTY and SOTY for two different songs in 2002. Alicia won SOTY for "Fallin" (U2 was nominated for "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of") and U2 won ROTY for "Walk On." As for an artist winning for two different songs, I think it has happened, but I'm not sure.

L.L. Cool J is the FIRST artist of Def Jam Recordings. L.L. was nominated for the 2010 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for 25 years in the music industry. He didn't get inducted but, he was on the list for the members to vote for possible induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
L.L. is a two-time Grammy Award winner. Also, L.L. was the producer of "The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music's Biggest Night."
Only one studio album from his entire catalog was not certified Gold or higher by the RIAA. L.L. is a co-star on the CBS drama, "NCIS: Los Angeles." "NCIS: Los Angeles" is the highest rated new show on TV.
L.L. Cool J is very relevant.

Lmao...as a musician LL is not relevant. Look up the meaning of relevant because you're CLEARLY misguided. He WAS relevant, hence his name coming up for the hall of fame but he is no longer a relevant musician, hence his flop of an album he released a bit ago. And having a hit tv show makes you relevant for Grammy commercials? Can't wait to see GLEEs Grammy commercial. Or Courtney Cox! That should be good and make total sense with the upcoming awards. Cause you know, she's nominated for just as many Grammys as LL...FAIL. Let it go.

Did it occur to you that maybe we posted at the same time? You're desparation to start a fight every day is as old and tired as LLs rapping career but far less storied and admirable. Get off my nuts.

Cool J is very relevant. relevant: 1 a : having significant and demonstrable bearing on the matter at hand b : affording evidence tending to prove or disprove the matter at issue or under discussion <relevant testimony> c : having social relevance Meaning He would be important to TV or music. and if he stopped acting and singing would anyone care? Is LL an A-list actor or musician? hes not even close to either. He maybe better of as a rap pioneer/legend but is he relvant to culture... in no way shape or form. Did he land a Golden Globe nomination for his acting? The reason you see him so much is bc CBS is pubbing THERE show. I never see him on anyother channel besides CBS
