You Want This only made it to #8 on the HOT 100. HereAh, I see. I always thought it made it to #6....

For me, this is easily her best album. I love every single song on it. It's flawless and perfectly captures Janet. I adore this album.

Maybe it's just because of its length but I always found this to be the weakest of 'the big 4". It's really listenable but just gets a bit dull at some points.

I remember getting this! I lived for "Again". Again was never a standout for me. It went on to be a huge hit, and i like it. I just don't "love" it.

I loved the video more than anything plus the association with one of my all time fav movies "Poetic Justice".

^Absolutely. Poetic Justice definitely helped to propel 'Again' to #1.

I recently bought this album for $6 dollars at a Family Dollar. I bought it because of You Want This and If. I had no idea Anytime, Anyplace or Again were even on this album. I was so excited when I saw Anytime, Anyplace after I brought it home. The album is decent but the interludes are so unnecessary to me. Without them, the album is how many tracks? The good thing is they blend so well together and they are so short, it's like one long song towards the end.

The interludes work for me. The album has 14 tracks, not counting the interludes. This would be the tracklisting:
That's The Way Love Goes You Want This If This Time Throb What'll I Do Funky Big Band New Agenda Because Of Love Again Where Are You Now The Body That Loves You Any Time, Any Place Whoops Now

This is my favorite Janet album. It has so many classics.
What'll I Do and Whoops Now are just terrible though. That's my always my biggest problem with Janet. Her albums are all good imo but are all either weighed down by useless filler of some kind or have 1-3 tracks that are just really, really bad that ruin an otherwise outstanding body of work.

My favorite album of hers. That's The Way Love Goes is one of my all-time favorite songs. I also love You Want This and Any Time, Any Place so much. Because Of Love and If are great too. And I have a soft spot for The Body That Loves You + Where Are You Now.

Kinda ironic that "Whoops Now" was one of Janet's biggest hits overseas. :shrugs: I still wish "And On And On" had made the album...

I love whoops now, I like it more than AOAO and I will never understand the love for 70's Love Groove. What a snooze fest!

I love this album, being my 2nd favorite after RN, but it would have been so much better without the interludes. My favorite track is You Want This. (The dance remixes are even better than the album version!)

One of the most epic album eras I've ever had the pleasure of seeing go down. This was such a good time to be a Janet fan. The singles, the album, the imagery, the videos, the press, the hype. She was on top of her game and just UNSTOPPABLE.
It holds up remarkably well too. Some of the production on the album tracks isn't as fresh as it was at the time, but all of the singles still sound so good to me.

I absolutely adore part of this album but at the same time there are songs that I don't really need to hear (WHoops Now, Funky Big Band, What I'll Do)

This is her magnum opus imo. The imagery was shocking for it's time and the music was diverse. She really shined on both the r&b influenced tracks "TTWLG", "Any TIme Any Place" as well as the poppier "Because of Love" and "Again" and numerous other songs including "Throb" and "Where Are You Now".

This would be a career album for anyone, and to think it's 1 of a truly legendary run of 4 albums is iconic.
My faves: Any Time, Any Place You Want This Because of Love Throb

I love this album! This era was great and she looked Amazing!!! So many good songs. I love most of the singles. My least favorites out of them were “Because Of Love and Anytime Any Place”, but I still liked them a lot. I used to be obsessed with “Throb” and “Where Are You Now” was always a favorite. The only track I never paid any attention to and completely forgot about was “The Body That Loves You”. When the album first came out “Whoops Now” was a hidden track and I believe it took me awhile to realize it was even on the album. When I found itI was always a fan of it. I think it’s cute. I didn’t mind the interludes. They were all pretty short. My only gripe at the time was I wished some of the songs could have been edited to be a bit shorter. I used to make my own mix tapes and a couple of the tracks took up too much time on the cassette. Lol I went to a concert from this tour and it was definitely one of the funnest concerts I’ve ever been to. I’ll also never forget her flawless performance at the VMA’s during this era. The slow intro of “If” was everything to me at the time. This album brings back so many great memories. I was 16 at the time and did our High School talent show and used “Throb and If” for our dance routine. I believe we won best dance. Janet was on Fire during this era!
