Faith what the hell is this ? It's even worse than i had imagined. Where the hell are the hits ? These songs sound like all demos. Right Here' sounds like the only song that will do well on radio, and thats Urban Ac i believe. Nothing else.

She was better off staying on Capital. She has no promotion now. At leaston Capital people knew she had an album coming out...even if they didnt care.
The song with Keyshia ia cute. Perhaps if she was on a majo rlabel, uran would be more likely to play it.

This really is her worst album. It does sound like an album of demos. It sounds like leftover demos from the First Lady

I Still Real Things Worth It Gone Already Party Right Here The Love in Me
This album is VERY Urban AC-friendly and I think that's gonna throw a lot of people off. There's hardly any trace of the contemporary R&B/Hip-Hop sound people have come to expect from her. I also see why they haven't really bothered pushing Gone Already to Urban because there's not really a strong follow-up single for that format. The duet with Keyshia is about as contemporary as she gets.

She should know better at this point, that she needs some radio hits. She could still be her but it's just nothing radio friendly on the album really.

Listened to the duet with Keyshia, a bit underwhelmed. Something about the production sounds off. Keyshia's verse sounds phoned in and pasted. the production doesn't sound professional but I'll give the rest of the album a listen.
can she at least get on the Monique Show?

Cd is excellent/solid R&B. Complainers must be children or people interested in simply Pop/Rhythmic music and have no real interest in authentic R&B. These are also the people that complained about "Gone Already" but for an indie job she's doing well (#39 in week 7). I can agree that this is not radio friendly but she does have three other radio friendly tracks: "Party," "Can't Stay Away," & "I Still" I believe if she does promotion for the album and sends "Gone Already" for Urban next week and "Can't Stay Away" or "Party" in 3 weeks to Urban and Urban AC she will have decent/steady sales and push a Gold album and a follow up Top 30 hit.

And I'm going to be realistiic and say under 30k. Trust me, I want her to succeed because I have loved her ever since she has been on the scene, but this far between album and not being on a major label anymore is going to make her suffer ALOT.

I agree, i think she'll muster up somewhere between 35 to 50k. She needs about atleast 3 solid and or big r&b hits to salvage a gold album. I want her to succeed but i just don't know that the material she has as of now will do that for her.

I say 30-45k. I think she has enough older adults who respect her as an artist and will pick her album up when they see it in stores. I think this will sell probably around 180k when all is said and done

As much as I'd like it to, I don't see this album going Gold.

As of now it won't but if she does something about it it will(read above)! And I lower my predictions based on some of my own research I have done on sales of most cds thus far. I now project 18,000 - 24,000 first week. :( If she sells more then that means she still has a loyal fan base but it will the numbers of my previous predictions, 35,000 - 50,000.

If Monica just went Gold with two huge R&B hits Faith is not even going to come close to Gold. Gone Already is barely a top 40 R&B hit and I dont see any other song on this album doing any better

Valid point but she still has 3 tracks that could be Top 30 hits on R&B if promoted properly; "I Still", "Party", & "Can't Stay Away"

If she's indie, then I understand the lack of promotion.

Finally heard the record. From the comments here I would have thought this was a horrible album. I LOVE IT!! I especially love the interlude and "Right Here". This is a classic Faith record and she didn't go commercial. Love it!

That's what I've been trying to tell people...those that dislike do not really like real R&B music but rather listen to sellout records...this is one of my top 3 R&B cds this year: "Back To Me" by Fantasia and "Still Standing" by Monica are the other two.

LOL Just because people dont like this album full of samey second rate songs and literally phoned in guest verses does not mean they dont appreciate "real R&B". Thats a catty cop out

The album makes for good background music (and that is not a diss).
