Although I'm not crazy about the singles for this album, I'm still looking forward to it, since Ayu said it would be a "back-to-basics" album. Hopefully it will be a great album, especially after the mediocre mess that Next Level was.

Hopefully it will be a great album, especially after the mediocre mess that Next Level was. I feel like half of the album will be sorta "Back to basics" and half the album will be an extension of NEXT LEVEL. Because i just don't see how "Sexy little things" is really very back-to-basics-y. Either way, "Sunrise" was an AMAZING song. Fuckin AWESOME. "BALLAD" was GORGEOUS. "You were..." was fantastic (but "Days" and "Together When..." were better IMO), and "Sunset" was just okay ;p Either way, I'm most curious for "Sexy little things" ... I'm surprised that title BARELY caused any goddamn controversy, but her fans are in an UPROAR over the title "Microphone"

I LOVED "Sunrise" & "BALLAD" but I wasn't too crazy about "Sunset" & "You were...", either way I'm super excited for the album!
The clips of "Microphone" & "Don't look back" from the CM's sounded promising and the on the set pics of the "Microphone" & "Sexy little things" PV's look amazing!
I wonder if she'll be able to out-sell 'NEXT LEVEL' though =/

Well, the sales of NEXT LEVEL were understandably lower. This was the first time she didn't release an album during the holiday season or right before the holiday season in her whole career. (could you imagine if "A BEST" had been released during the holidays? holy hell.)
Being that she's doing that again, I don't expect anything different.

Pics from the video shoots look terrific. Hopefully she reduces the amount of instrumental interludes on this album

^The rumored tracklist looks good. The title "Rock 'n' Roll Time" is making me cringe a little though.
I really hope she doesn't actually title the album 'Rock n Roll Circus' ... I'd perfer just 'Circus' even if Britney did do it first.

same here. i really don't like the whole "Rock'n'Roll" thing at all.
I hope she only uses that for the tour.

I'm guessing Circus, dead moon, player, and flame out are the instrumental interludes

Assuming the teacklist is real, that'd be a safe bet.
But as usual, we definitely have to take it with a gran of salt.

I was thinking Rock n Roll time would be an interlude.

She's been quite disappointing for an album and a half now. For me she peaked with "(miss)understood", the most perfect jpop album ever.

'(miss)understood' is also my fave Ayu album and one of my favorite j-pop albums of all time. However I thought 'Secret' was a great album. 'GUILTY' on the other hand was awful and while 'NEXT LEVEL' wasn't up to par with her previous albums I still found it enjoyable. Plus it gave us gems like "Sparkle" & "LOVE 'n' HATE"<333.
As for this new album ... it's shaping up to be her best album since 'Secret' but I really wish she didn't go with such a horrid album title. Oh well, still looking foward to the album!

wow, i have such an opposite opinion. "GUILTY" is my favorite Ayu album EVER. But I agree NEXT LEVEL wasn't the best by far, I still enjoyed every song.
anyway, it certainly looks like this album will be edgier.
There are 3 version of the album. CD-Only CD+DVD and Limited Box, which is $130.

$130?!?!
Yick, Rock n Roll Circus is her worst album title hands down. I wish I could go back to the Rainbow/Memorial address days. Those were my favorite eras

GUILTY was my favorite era personally. "Memorial address" is her best title though, and "Rock 'n' Roll Circus" is certainly her worst.

The covers get the job down. They're far from good, but they get the job done.
She hasn't had particularly good covers since "GUILTY" anyway, and even that's debatable. The last unanimously-thought 'good' covers, i would think, were "Secret"

I'm not saying that nobody did.
I liked NEXT LEVEL, too. What I'm saying is that "Secret" covers were the last covers that just about EVERYONE liked. Her covers after that tended to be hit-or-miss with people.

Really excited about this (unhealthily so, in fact). Under a month to go now, so I can start counting down the days! ;)
Have enjoyed the singles so far, but hoping they'll be a few rockier tunes in there (the cd) aswell
