Rated R still has legs. They could still re-release at least 2 more singles. Rockstar 101 would be a perfect summer smash, followed by Fire Bomb or Photographs.

I'm not fond of the idea of "Rockstar 101" being a single. It's a solid album track but wouldn't work on radio.

Agreed. Maybe send it to Urban when they release the next single? Two songs on different formats. Neither Firebomb/Photographs/Te Amo/Stupid In Love would be huge on that format. However if they were to that, she should send G4L because IMO it is so much better.

If it's true then yayy!! I also want to see G4L and Rockstar released as urban singles at some point. They're too good not to be released at least on that format. Te Amo and Fire Bomb should be enough for the return of 'pop' Rihanna on her core format while her 'dark' side will still be active and help expanding her fan base. Rated R is the new I Am Sasha Fierce.

#TeamPhotographs I'm not familiar with this rihannafan broad but "Photographs" is an ideal follow-up. Rated R is the new I Am Sasha Fierce. Ego's right. How dare you reduce Rated R to shit.

I'm not talking about quality. It is clear which one is the best album. But both of them contain 4-5 songs for pop radio and some for urban radio.

If Fire Bomb is released she will need to release a new album cause that one will kill the era.

Rude Boy is doing really well atm. Rihanna's albums are always slow burners, I mean and this was the fastest to reach 1 million sold. I think Hard should be released outside the US at one point, I dont understand why they did the US only thing.

Russian Roulette really only stalled in the US, and maybe they thought Hard was too urban for the rest of the world.

Right around when Rated R was released, I read somewhere that Def Jam had plans of releasing a new album in the summer-time. This is coming from someone who had inside information, so this seems to be falling in place with their original plans. I also read that they were planning on releasing maybe 2 or 3 more singles after Hard, and pretty close from each other. And if I recall correctly, Rihanna worked with Sean Kingston last summer, as well with Tyson Ritter from All-American Rejects. Now, I doubt she was working on Rated R songs with them as the songs made wouldn't suit the "dark" theme of Rated R. Either way, I hope she releases a more commercial album soon so all this people calling her a flop will just go away.

Add to the fact she said in interviews that she told LA No to some of the biggest hit demos she'd heard just because she didn't want to do that this time. Im sure they didn't throw the demos out and shop them around so they kept them for her

It's pretty much Team Fire Bomb and Team PhotoGraphs here at this board. Even though TE AMO would be the biggest hit out of them all. I hate PG and think its just a leftover Fergie track they gave Rihanna. There is NO need for them to rush the new album. It needs to come out next year.

Even though TE AMO would be the biggest hit out of them all. Seems fair... Te Amo was #1 here in Brazil last year.. before RR was released there was even this guy who threatened to sue someone because he bought GGGB and he didn't find Te Amo there LOL

Te Amo needs to stay an album track. Just because it was leaked a year ago? It's a very hot song and actually would have been the perfect follow up to the also Island-song RUDE BOY. Like I said before, I believe she DOES have an album coming out this fall. That's why they are releasing PG next to kill this era by June.

It's obvious that Rated R underperformed or didn't meet expectations. That is the only possible reason why they are in the process of planning a new album after barely 3 months of releasing the last one. Hot mess. Flop first single, rush releasing four music videos/singles to radio, massive slashing of sale prices, and now racing to record a new album. Island/Def Jam is just trying to sabotage all of it's stars. How are they sabotaging Rihanna? She's about to land another #1 single. I'm sure this album won't be out until the winter, and releasing an album a year is her MO. I don't know how I feel about a lighter Rihanna. Her dance music is fun, but it doesn't really have the substance Rated R has, which is what made it her best album by far.

Te Amo would do really good WW, but no in the US.
PG or FB are made for pop, therefor she needs urban singles. Rockstar 101 or G4L.

I think Stupid in Love or Fire Bomb would be the perfect 4th single.

I definitely think this album has avoided being called a flop. Rude Boy is huge, RR was a hit worldwide. Its sales will be under GGGB, but I bet it will sell about what most pop albums are selling nowadays.
