Ugh my stupid c key is going to make me choke it. Has there ever been a year that the Grammys ended on a performance, rather than ending on the AOTY award? Because now that I think about it, having Arcade Fire at the very end of the show like this is a dead giveaway that they were going to win to anyone who was paying attention to who had performed yet. Lil' Wayne performed very close to the end in 2009 and lost AOTY

Is Arcade Fire the 1st AOTY winner to not win any other category? I can't wait to see sales spike for The Suburbs :) Can anyone answer this?

Arcade Fire promoted themselves zero for the award. Em was doing iced tea commercials last week for Christ sake. Eminem had a nice year, however, without Rihanna to the rescue, he wouldn't have even been performing tonight. Gaga has plenty of time to w in album of the year. The Suburbs is actually a great album covering all genres from beginning to end. Many will complain about no hits on the album, well, that's because they have zero promotion. Uh, the commercials have nothing to do with music. And the voting was done weeks/months after the commercial. Also, the album sold well over 1 million units (more than almost any artist in 2010) before the Rihanna song even made an impact.

Not Afraid didn't even go Top 15 on radio, maybe not even Top 20. Good song though. Em sold out, who cares, everyone does it. It went top 15 on CHR
