My predictions: * "Empire State of Mind" will be definitely nominated for both Song & Record of The Year + Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. * Alicia Keys & Robin Thicke will lead the R&B category. * Beyonce's management is super smart so maybe they will submit one of her live performance from I Am... Yours to Best R&B Female Vocal Performance just like what they did last year with "Me, Myself & i", or maybe "Halo" (Hope for Haiti Live) for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance? * Doubt Usher will get some since they didn't really care about Here I Stand. Chris Brown has no chance for sure. * Rihanna may get the Best Contemporary R&B Album since Rated R got a lot of positive reviews. * Not sure which category fits "Telephone" better, maybe Best Pop Collaboration. And maybe Best Short Form Music Video ("Telephone" / "Bad Romance"? * Ke$ha, Jason DeRulo & Justin Bieber for Best New Artist maybe? But well, none of them deserve it.

I'd love to see Rihanna get nods for the Rated R album, it was a critical and commercial smash and her best yet.

Rated R isn't a BIG commerical SMASH but it is doing well. Id totally LOL at them if she wins an award for RR and at that point they ahve already moved onto the next album. LMAO egg on their face!

I see we're trying to get a whole year's head start. Wow. As someone said before, when you think about it, the eligibility period is already more than half over. The majority of stuff that'll be eligible next year has already been released.

Orianthi for BNA anyone? She does write all her own stuff, perform an instrument, associated with Grammy God-Father Michael Jackson, and is getting major radio airplay, as well as making top 30 on itunes.
Telephone will go Pop Collabo. Bad Romance will go Pop Vocal or Dance P!nk nominee Pop Vocal for Glitter In The Air Lady Antebellum - Need You Now for Country SOTY, Country Duo/Group Performance, SOTY & ROTY
M.I.A.'s album comes out in June - AOTY possibility. Paper Planes is probably one of the few songs to rightfully be nominated for ROTY. She has two nominations & an Oscar nominations and seeing as she has been nominated in a Big Four already and she is Grammy-bait, she has a shot as getting a nomination - more than likely not but still a chance.

For Gaga I think they really should focus on Pop Category, possible nominations: Pop Vocal Album (TFM), Pop Vocal (Bad Romance/Speechless/Alejandro/Monster if it gets released), Pop Collaboration (Telephone), AOY (TFM), SOY (Bad Romance/another hit if she can get more from this album), ROY (same), Dance Recording (Telephone).
Bey might get nominated for Pop Collaboration (Telephone), RNB Collaboration (Put It In A Love Song) and Dance Recording (Telephone).
The I Am... Yours live album might be up for something if they send it, also there might be another Vocal nomination (BHG/SD/others maybe even Poison, we all know that anything can happen when it comes to Beyonce). If her first single gets release before September which is very very unlikely, she will get more nominations.

P!nk nominee Pop Vocal for Glitter In The Air i don't think Grammy rule will allow it since the album has already been nominated this year, so maybe they'll go with the live version

For example, Black Eyed Peas can't be nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group w/ Vocals next year since "The E.N.D." won Best Pop Album this year. I think they may be able to submit to Best Dance Recording since it's a different field...

For GaGa I see:
Best Dance/Electronic Album - The Fame Monster Best Dance Recording - Bad Romance Best Female Pop Vocal Performance - Speechless but could Paparazzi be nominated as it was released in the eligibility season and they didn't nominate anything here last year? Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals - Telephone ft/ Beyonce Best Short Form Music Video - Bad Romance/Telephone? ROTY - Bad Romance SOTY - Bad Romance AOTY - The Fame Monster
It's worked out well that because of the separate EP it can be nominated all over again, whereas originally it would have just been a rerelease and thus ineligible.

Paparazzi can't be nominated since The Fame won Genre Album award last year. Last year's album that won any award can't produce nominee this year except. (except short form music video)

oh, and how about if the album didn't win? JT's FutureSex/LoveSound. The album was nominated in 2007 Grammy for Best Vocal Album, however it didn't win - and next year, What Goes Around was nominated for Best Pop Male Vocal....?

From Category Description Record Of The Year Tracks from a previous year's album maybe entered provided the track was not entered the previous year and provided the album did not win a GRAMMY.

I amsure they will submit Rihanna in pop not RnB. Also, I think commercial success will play a big role, so Lady A will do well. They will either ignore Gage this year or praise her given last years upsets.

Lady Antebellum will probably take one of the general categories, it seems there album is on the way to being the biggest seller of the year.

Lady A will surely get an AOTY nod. Sade has a shot.
If Christina's material is decent, she should get a nod in Female Pop Vocal. She's a favorite there. Rihanna could get a nomination there with 'Russian Roulette' too. GaGa should go for Dance with BR, and pop collabo for Telephone. I don't know about 'Alejandro', I don't think it's strong enough to get nominated.
