Demi lovato talks about what is like to go back into the recording studio in her new Seventeen Magazine Article I love being back in the studio! It's been very therapeutic to be able to express my feelings and talk about who I really am, through my music. It also helps that I've been lucky enough to work with such talented people on the record so far! With my new album, I'm hoping to provide inspiration for girls everywhere who are going through the same issues I've faced. I think this will come through in a lot of the material. My first single is really special to me— to me it symbolizes my journey from the person I was to the happy healthy person I am today, and the fact that people are able to rise above anything, despite the odds. I'm so excited to share all of this with you guys! The experience has been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying the whole process. There are definitely a lot of emotions that go into making an album. I feel blessed, inspired, and nervous with anticipation, but mostly, I feel excited about the future, and about sharing this new record with my fans! Quotes from her live chat: "I am having so much fun!" she said of getting back to recording. "Every time I get in the studio, I have so much joy and so much passion to write and create whatever's on my heart and whatever's on my mind. It's so much fun to me, and I'm so excited to be back to work." On her New Single: "It's about the journey that I've been through; it's about overcoming my inner demons that I had. It's about not letting anything tear me down and rising above any problem or issue that I've ever had. It's just a really empowering song that I know a lot of you guys will be able to relate to." Demi expects to be back on tour by the end of this year, and hopes to visit countries she hasn't been to yet. For now, she's busy working on her album, and gearing up for the release of her new song. "You guys should hear something about [my single] in the next couple of weeks or so, and I can't wait for you guys to hear it!" And @demipromo asked Hollywood records if they were going to announce her single soon and they replied: RT @pophollywood @demipromo I think soooo... tomorrow is someone else's day but I have a sneaky feeling I'll have news for you in a week or so. ;)

'Sonny with a Chance' was cheesy but i liked it. 'So Random' is terrible. Kinda glad she left to be honest.
Can't wait for this.

I'm just now getting into Demi (her bipolar diagnosis got me interested because I am, too) but I'm really excited for this album!

^ She's the best thing in disney right now, and the best vocalist they ever had. If they just invest in her half the amount they do in Selena and that imaginary band of hers, she can get on mainstream CHR/POP

IA w/ WTF. If she were pushed as much as Selena, then she could possibly score some hits. And she is the best vocalist Disney has ever seen (including Xtina...#STAYMAD).

I always wondered why they pushed Selena more than Demi. I mean it's obvious Demi is the better singer because selena can barely even sing.

They pushed Demi much more when her debut came out. She was on E News & ET all the time, haled as the next great singer from Disney. She just did not meet expectations. Her strong vocals alone should have propelled her farther than she reached but more than likely her persona is what hindered her from fulfilling her potential.
Selena got similar to less push when her debut album came out. It sold consistantly & strongly during the holiday season and when "Naturally" was played on OHP, HR took the chance and sent the song for adds a few weeks later. The rest is history.
People need to stop acting like Selena didn't deserve the push. Yeah she isn't a great vocalist and not as good as Demi in that department, but she did EARN her support by selling.

She isn't a great vocalist? You mean she isn't one right? She can't sing for shit, she is absolutely dreadful live and she hasn't got any stage presence either. Not in a million years does she deserve what she has got in the music business. She might of earned fans and sold lots of copies but let's be honest, did her live vocals do that or her studio vocals?

Selena Gomez doesn't deserve a damn thing. She obviously doesn't practice or keep up with her voice at all. She should stop going on vacations with her boyfriend and go exersize her voice. Demi better get more promo than her. She's definitely come a long way.

Demi certainly did not get the same push. She was always third in line to Miley and Selena. I Wish, your whole post is just bulls**t tbh. Selena has some decent/good music, but music certainly isn't her thing. She has no redeeming factor when you see her live.

Just because you can't remember a few years ago doesn't mean it didn't happen. Selena & Demi were on the SAME playing field with their debut albums. Selena hardly promoted and they mostly resulted on her success with WOWP for early Kiss & Tell sales. Sorry that you guys are so pressed that Demi had to result to controversy to garner some interest for her dead music career & Selena can sell albums simply by making better songs. :)

For the record, I like Demi, but her hardcore fans need to get over Selena being more successful now and forever. Focus on spreading the word about Demi's music instead. :)

Has nothing to do with being a hardcore demi fan.
Selena is talentless so of course people get pissed that she manages to become so successfull. If she was talented i would be a fan of her too.

MAKING? More like recording because that's all she has to do since she doesn't even write her own music, whatever i don't care if she is successful right now, This is a Demi lovato postBTW, Demi is annoucing the single this week! And a lot of fans are already planning on requesting it on radio stations, they have been planning a radio promo campaign for a month now or something and they have great ideas to spread the word about it, like trending topics and things like that

Incorrect. Selena has more talent to act in her left finger than Demi could ever wish to have. BTW - Maybe if Demi fanatics stop trolling in Selena threads, I'll leave Demi's thread alone. :)

No one is trolling in Selena threads. You're the only one trolling.
And Demi has more musical talent in her bellybutton than Selena could ever conceivably wish, hope, and dream of having.
It's pretty obvious that we are referring to musical talent, since this is a music forum. So, gtfo w/ your irrelevant acting tangent.
And 'left finger'? FAIL!
