I missed Just Missed the Train on her setlist...sadly it took almost what 3 tours to add it back in? I wish she would do Anytime. I think she sang it for Ashley, right? It was one of her best friends she sang it for before the show. YES That is one of my all time favorite Kelly songs and to be honest the song that I heard that made me fall in love with her. Imagine it with some synths, or god help us an ELECTRIC GUITAR. DOOO IT KELLYYY

about that Impossible note. I don't think it's off key. I know she slid up the note from the initial note, but I thought that when she got to the top of the note it was perfectly in tune. I could be wrong of course but it sounded awesome to me. I'm still interested to know what the note was when she hit the top of it. Thanks.

I think it's an F? I'm not good with octaves, but I'm fairly sure that it's an F.

It is definitely a F, i know because i practiced that for about 1 month before i could hit that note. it was really kinda difficult for me. Kelly does it beautifully !

You're male and you can hit an F5 in chest voice?

Unless you're talking about hitting it in falsetto? Or an F4...? F5's are pretty high for girls so for a guy to do it....

yeah i can, i have a weird voice, there are tones where is sound like a male and sometimes like a little girl. i used to go twice a week at vocals lessons. Oh tanxs,oh the fasetto and f4 where a bit easy for me (not to bluf)
i have a rare unique voice i like to believe as so my teacher. But i am not really working on it right now. trying to finish high school first. and then i'll keep my options open..
Another thing that is weird with me, If i am going to sing now i am going to sing like s**t.. Its weird i only can sing on key when i am nervous or sensitive or if i heard other people sing. It is really frustrating sometimes, so frustrating that i thought that a time my voice was taking a way or s**t. my vocal teacher is still working on it.. Its really weird

Kevin, your vocals sound insane! :o Keep it up and surely you'll snag yourself a record deal. And, then Neally can do a complete vocal assessment.

this page is a little too much. I wonder when's the next time that an AI contestant will perform a KC song. We all know they'll end up getting the boot after that performance.

That note didn't sound right to me either. It wasn't bad it just seemed odd. Like she was going for something else. The rest was great though.

She sings "Gone" well. I like the way she sings the word "Gone" in the chorus.

I had missed the new thread starting. I'd been wondering if we were just going to start a Fifth Album thread when the world tour ends...I guess we'll wait on that until Kelly confirms that she's done recording it.
Anyway, the medley just underscores how amazing her voice is right now even compared to 2004-05, when it was pretty awesome already.

Well I figure whilst the tour and single is still going for the same era, we should continue on with the threads.
Whilst I think overall her voice is better, I think she hit higher peaks vocally in 04/05.
I mean in this video from 04. Check out 0.18 - 0.25
I mean that's serious Mariah/Christina on steroids kind of sanging. I'd like a few more moments like that.

While she can still hit those notes, you don't need to look any further than her speaking voice. Listen to her speak on AI, or even through Breakaway interviews--her speaking voice is just set higher than it is now. She has a low, husky, even raspy speaking voice now, so that obviously translates to her singing. That being said, she can still hit those notes, as we saw in the most recent video with Reba. I think her comfort zone has changed a bit though, and I think we'll start hearing more songs from her that aren't just high all the time, but have high notes she can throw in (e.g. Don't Play That Song vs. Lies). PS~ SO. AWESOME. about Esquire.

PS~ SO. AWESOME. about Esquire. I wonder if the way Kelly speaks now is deliberate. I remember some time ago, maybe 2003 or 2004 her friend Jess had a question and answer section at www.kellyclarkson.ca. She said that they had to teach Kelly to speak differently to help to save her voice. I don't know if that's why she sounds different now when she speaks or if it's just a natural thing that has occurred from using her voice so much now.
