With all the hype - some are calling him the new Biggie - can this album scan a million? His first two are gold, the third uncertified, but internet pundits are skeptical regardless of past success. EGO, what do u think? Can Teflon Don scan a million? Impossible. iDont even know if there's a single for it. 200k first week/500k overall TOPS. Sheriff Ross ain't making any arrests with this year's alb3rm, deputy.

His last album with the track with t-pain was good. i think that was his best effort. Well whatever he puts out is more likely to debut at #1 since he chosed the easiest week to release. Hopefully Kelis outsells that ogre. I can only hope lol

New pic of Rick smoking a cigarette. What's rolled inside, I don't know. ??? Not much chatter in this thread. :'(

I don't think this album is gonna do as well as his others. Nobody's really checkin for him anymore, and those Biggie comparisons are a joke....the only similarities between them are that they're black and obese.

Super High isnt doing terrible but I think everyone is seeing right through it being a Magnificent rehash and I dont think that is going to help his album sell. I doubt Kelis is going to sell more than him though. LOL

Rick took advantage of his two BET Awards performance slots by rapping live. You'd think an up-and-coming femcee given three opportunities would do the same, but I guess not. At the rate the hype is growing, Teflon Don could easily do 1M+ in the first week. I was going to check Twitter to see if Rick is trending, but they're over capacity, presumably because of people overloading the servers tweeting about The Boss.

4. Maybach Music III (Feat. T.I., Jadakiss & Erykah Badu) (Produced By J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) "Maybach Music" was good, "Maybach Music 2" was amazing. I can't wait to hear this one!

If Drake can't open with 500,000 what makes you think Rick will open with 1Mil the first week? ???

If Drake can't open with 500,000 what makes you think Rick will open with 1Mil the first week? ??? Drake's a new artist. This is Rick's fourth album. You forget that it wasn't until his fifth or sixth album that Wayne sold a million first week out. An artist needs to be established before 1M ppl are gonna be willing to pay for their disc right away. Plus Rick is more respected in the h00d.

I haven't heard the entire thing, but from what I have heard this sounds like it could be his best album.

John Gotti’s Grandson Calls Out Rick Ross for ‘Teflon Don’ Title
Former drug kingpin Ricky “Freeway” Ross isn’t the only one who has a bone to pick with rapper Rick Ross. The grandson of mobster John Gotti is calling out hip-hop’s boss for poaching his grandfather’s nickname.
Carmine Agnello Jr., better known as Carmine Gotti, was less than pleased when he heard the Miami MC had chosen Teflon Don as his album title. His late grandfather, mob boss John Gotti, was dubbed the “Teflon Don” after winning multiple acquittals. “My grandfather paid his dues for that nickname,” Gotti told the New York Daily News. “That was my grandfather’s life.”
Agnello, who is trying to launch his own hip-hop career, wishes Ross had spoken with the Gotti family before using the name. “He should have asked for permission. A standup, respectable guy would come and ask if [he] could use the nickname,” said the 24-year-old. “I think he’s a great artist, but you can’t just start calling yourself that to sell records. He wants to go for that whole image, but hey, be yourself.”
In addition to labeling him a copycat, Agnello took a personal jab at Ross and his past occupation. “Only in America can you go from being a corrections officer to calling yourself Teflon Don,” he quipped.
While it may be causing a stir with the Gottis, Rick Ross’ new album is receiving rave reviews from critics. Teflon Don will battle Eminem’s Recovery for No. 1 on next week’s albums chart.

Live Fast, Die Young is my new anthem! I cannot wait for Kanye's album. He's back on his grind and is killing it.

Nice album. Short n sweet to the point. This. It's very rare you hear Erykah Badu and Raphael Saadiq on a commercial rap album. "Maybach Music III" and "All The Money In This World" are pretty hot. "Super High" almost sounds like an album track. Oh. The label heads need to scrap "B.M.F." and release "Aston Martin Music" instead. It's the most commercial song on the album. Even without the rap, Drake owned the song.

^ I haven't been following the Billboard charts that much lately. It is bigger than "Super High" now that I checked. BMF is at #17 on R&B/Hip Hop and #82 on the Hot 100. I hope he can get a third single from this album.
