Tonight was supposed to be the opening night of the Rod Stewart/Stevie Nicks tour in Florida.
It was cancelled due to Rod having the flu.
They hit Madison Square Garden next Saturday.

Stevie Nicks will be on Oprah on Wednesday(4/13)!
Oprah is doing a show on Rock Goddesses and other female icons. Not sure of the theme yet.
Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Sister Sledge, Salt n Pepa, etc.
I am living for this! The ultimate rock divas on one show???

The Oprah appearance ended up i guess having this legendary female music icons theme, and this is who they had: Sister Sledge, Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus , Stevie Nicks, Salt n Pepa, Avril, Pat Benetar and Sheryl Crow. Stevie sang 3 songs. Sheryl did a duet with Stevie, Miley sang with Joan Jett, Avril sang with with Pat. Then they all came together and sang "We are Family", apparently. Thats what I gathered from comments from those who attended. Pic of Stevie on Oprah

The June 2011 issue of Q Magazine has a short interview with Stevie.
Last Requests STEVIE NICKS Gold Dust Woman, 62
When was the last time you looked at an old photo in horror?
I've been looking through a lot of old photos recently and there have been some scary hair ones. Most of my hair styles, I've liked. The only time it got out of hand was at the end of the '80s and the huge perms were in - and extensions. So you had this huge bouffant and these stringy extensions, too. I look at those photos and say, "Stevie, you have always had beautiful hair - what were you thinking? How could you have walked out the door looking like that?"
When was the last time you had a fight with Lindsey Buckingham?
Lindsey and I always have fights and we did 83 Fleetwood Mac shows together in 2009 so we had a couple then. We always will. Our up-and-down relationship never really changes. It's no different now than it was back in 1976 when we broke up. But in November, Lindsey did help me record The Soldier's Angel, which is one of the tracks on my new album.
When was the last time you thanked your God that you're still alive?
I've put a lot of people through rehab because they can't afford it. I keep an eye on their progress and talk to them about it. Each time I hang up the phone, I say, "Thank God I'm not in rehab, or have to get up tomorrow and stop drinking, or stop smoking, or stop doing drugs." That was such a pressure for so many years. I am very lucky to be alive. I could've easily slipped away.
When was the last time you slept in your own bed?
Well, I tour a lot so I'm not always at home. I'm in rehearsals now and ready to go on a tour so I won't be home for a while. But I made my new record at home, which made it a joy. [Producer] Dave A Stewart and all my band practically moved in. It was fantastic, we would write, record and eat dinner together.
When was the last time you spoke to old bandmate Christine McVie?
The last time I saw Chris was when Fleetwood Mac played the Unleashed Tour at Wembley in 2009 and she came. She looked great and I miss her terribly. The fact she lives in England is a huge bummer as it means I can't see her. I'm not a real phone person and I don't email as I don't have a computer so it's hard to keep in touch with her and I hate that. She was my best friend forever.
When was the last time someone called you Stephanie?
My dad used to call me Stephanie and I have one friend, called Rebecca, who calls me Steph. In my journal I sign it Steph - so I call myself Steph, not Stevie. But I've been called Stevie since I was two years old and Stephanie was only ever used when someone was angry with me, though Mick Fleetwood calls me Stephanie sometimes!
When did you last write poetry?
I write poetry all the time but the last time my poetry was used in my lyrics was for two new songs called For What It's Worth and Cheaper Than Free. I write all the time in my journal. See, have a look [showing her journal], I have poetry, postcards that I collect, my drawings. I keep all my poetry and journals in a vault, in case my house burns down. I'm so superstitious that I even get worried when I travel with them. What if we crash? My whole life is in them and would be gone.
When was the last time you were late for anything?
Probably today. I'm due to rehearse with Rod Stewart for our joint US tour and I'm chatting away and giving my manager a heart attack. It's the first time Rod has made rehearsals because he has been sick, so it's important to meet on time or I might miss him.
When was the last time you were asked about the cocaine blown up your bum story?
I hate it when it comes up. It makes me so angry because of course it never happened and I don't understand why someone said that about me in the first place. I am such a lady and so very prudish and all about wearing lots and lots of lingerie and clothes - I'm the opposite of that story. It's just so insane and disgusting and makes me nauseous. Whoever set that story off, I hope they rot and burn in hell.

This album is almost as bad as Street Angel. While Sheryl Crow and John Shanks made Stevie sound youthful and relevant on Trouble in Shangri-La while still sticking to her classic sound, Dave Stewart made her sound old, bored, and pedestrian on this album. It may have also helped that several of the songs on that album were written as long ago as the early 70's and I think most of these songs were written fairly recently. I just think it's horribly boring. Way too adult contemporary pop and not enough rock.

But i'm sure some people will love it though.

It's not a bad album. Granted, a lot of it sounds the same on first listen, especially by the middle. It definitely doesn't have the highlights of Trouble In Shangri-La. Plus I feel like at this point she could have set up one of those random generators to come up with "Stevie" song titles and lyrics. Some of the songs sound like spoofs of the kind of thing people expect her to write about, especially "New Orleans" (much as I do like that song). That said, when everything comes together, like on "Wide Sargasso Sea", she still knows how to write a great song.

There are fans calling this her best album, I wouldn't go that far.
I was hoping for more upbeat rock songs, but there are some songs that have grown on me. I think the title track is my favorite and it sounds like a Tom Petty track. That would be great for rock radio.

You can't cancel an album release the day before it comes out. It's already out in some countries. It's just an exaggerated headline - nowhere in that article does it actually say the album has been canceled, only that she won't be able to promote it until she reschedules. It even references the release date and says she hopes her fans love the album in lieu of promo, so it's obviously still coming out.

That article was very clear. Her appearances this week were cancelled, not the album.

Oh, for some reason I didn't read the word "appearances" in the headline. I don't think denverdean did either.
