I forget they film these Soul Train Awards a couple weeks in advance before actually airing them.

Loved their performance tonight, and I'm glad each of the girls was able to say their own thank yous (versus one group statement) and that they all thanked each other.
I really hope to catch them on a solo tour date, as I'd love to get a full-length set versus a festival/multi-artist show and they only do 5-6 songs.

Couple question for the big SWV fans.
1.) When was "Mystery" recorded? It's on their greatest hits but was it a b-side for an album single?
2.) When was "Where Is The Love?" recorded? I am referring to the version that appears on their greatest hits, the "full version". It doesn't sound like it was made during the New Beginning sessions but I could be wrong!

They were all "new" for their 1999 greatest hits, along with "Surprise Me" and "Can't Cope". "Where Is The Love" was only on the international versions (which didn't have the other new tracks). All of them sound like they're from the New Beginning sessions to me. None of the new tracks were recorded any later than 1997.

Yeah, I thought "Mystery" would most likely be from the New Beginning sessions. "Where Is The Love" to me however sounded...idk, updated? The vocal is completely new. Perhaps it's one of those songs Coko went back into the studio and layered her vocals on top because I am not hearing a lot of Taj or LeLee on those backgrounds.

I didn’t realize the difference between the “interlude” and the “full version” of the song. Time for me to revisit it. Perhaps Coko recorded some new vocals since she was probably working on her solo album at the time?

"Christmas Ain't Christmas" popped up on my iPod this morning. I forgot that Taj and Lelee got to see some leads on this album. I haven't listened to the whole album in awhile, so does anyone here remember what other songs they sing lead on?

Catching up on the series and I forgot how much I missed seeing them on TV. Love their personalities.
Also, this was a nice lookback:

Does anyone think Salt N Pepa should have been opening for THEM? Idk..I feel like SWV can headline their own tour.

Lol Swv specifically Coko throwing all that shade in their reaction video. Here for it. These girls today are sleepy and sound like robots

I think it should’ve been a co-headlining tour with them alternating the finale each night. SNP’s cultural impact is undeniable and I do believe they’ve had the bigger albums but SWV has outsold them worldwide and they have the biggest crossover hits so I think the fan bases in attendance would be evenly matched. Fair is fair.

It should be a co headlining tour with equal billing. They've both made an impact in pop culture.

Are they working on a new album? No. Both Coko and Lelee have said repeatedly that they don’t think they’ll make another one; I think that last label experience just left a bad taste in their mouth.
