SWV is doing some "Funk Fest" festivals with Erykah Badu & New Edition this spring .... I'd prefer to see them as the headliners, though. Regardless, it's good exposure.
Can't wait to hear single #2 and the remainder of the album.

I never got into SWV when they were originally out, as I was so young. I heard their songs on the radio, but after hearing how well Coko sounds on the Co-Sign single, I think I may check their project out. I know Coko can sang because I have her first solo Gospel CD from 2006. I cannot believe they are covering Patti LaBelle's If Only you Knew. That is a no-no.

This sounds decent, but it doesn't come close to their previous albums. "Co-Sign" is the one song that really sounds like their 90s material. A lot of it is very samey sounding.

It sounds like it might be the first SWV album I purchase and listen to in full aside from New Beginning, which bored me.

New Beginning is the weakest of their 3 90s albums in my opinion. It's About Time is my favorite.

I think all of their albums suck with the exception of the singles. This album based on the clips sounds like its their best overall album.

I would rank their albums in release date order. The first 2 were definitely their best. I loved New Beginning. I thought it was just as good as It's About Time. I recently dusted it off in preps for the new cd. I had forgotten about my favorite song on that album - "When This Feeling". Brought tears to my eyes to hear it again after all these years! I remember being underwhelmed by Release Some Tension though. The three ballads and "Can We" were definitely my favorites on that album.

Damn, my 13 year old self used to love this group. It may be that I have no interest in their reunion at all, but despite that I think it's kind of cool that they're still a group. I had forgotten about my favorite song on that album - "When This Feeling". That was my favorite album track by them too. Back then, I thought it sounded instrumentally like the Beatles and was going to make them an all-time "classic," but what the hell did I know? I was just a kid!

Top 100 is a strong possibility. It takes hardly anything to get into the Top 10 at this point. I don't know what the #100 album sold last week, but I definitely think this will clear a few thousand in the first week.

It would not shock me if SWV pulled in 10k based on the nostalgia factor alone.

I definitely think 5k-10k is n their league. Longevity is the key though.
