Just because I haven't listened to some of these specific songs, it doesn't mean I haven't heard other songs by them. I still know if their music is good or not. ;) Yeah, my point still stands.

I wish I knew what music was good without listening to it first. It would save a lot of time. Just because I haven't listened to some of these specific songs, it doesn't mean I haven't heard other songs by them. I still know if their music is good or not. ;) Because every song an artist makes is of the same quality, right? ???

And, in this case, I've heard most (if not all) of Kanye's singles which should represent the kind of music he makes and if it's good or not.

Yes. Maybe if I use an example you'll understand. If I said I knew I didn't like "My Life Would Suck Without You" and thus didn't like any of Kelly Clarkson's music, you'd think I was being ridiculous. Her music varies in quality, style and melody. Now, if I hate an artist's singles then I'm probably not going to waste my time on their entire discography, but yeah, you don't know whether you like anything until you've tried it. Obviously not, but generally one song is enough. And, in this case, I've heard most (if not all) of Kanye's singles which should represent the kind of music he makes and if it's good or not. One song is enough to judge the whole career of Madonna, who's released albums in the double digits and has changed styles more times than Kelly's had hot dinners? You know you don't like a downbeat, electro album track on Kanye's singing album based on his rap party hits?

Now, if I hate an artist's singles then I'm probably not going to waste my time on their entire discography, but yeah, you don't know whether you like anything until you've tried it. I get your point, but if you heard all of Kelly's singles from her career (like I have with Kanye's) and you said you didn't like her, I would respect your opinion. Singles are what artists choose to send to the general public to represent their sound/kind of music. I think that's more than enough to know if the music is good or not. If you don't like their singles, why would you buy their album? And, when I was referring to being able to judge someone off one song, that was more focused towards Justin Bieber or Ke$ha music. For example, I've listened to Ke$ha's whole album and they all are similar in style to TiK ToK, so in this case, one song is enough. Obviously not, but generally one song is enough. And, in this case, I've heard most (if not all) of Kanye's singles which should represent the kind of music he makes and if it's good or not. You know you don't like a downbeat, electro album track on Kanye's singing album based on his rap party hits? As I said, usually singles represent an album their trying to sell. Very rarely will you find a single that has a completely different sound than the album. And, once again, one song isn't definitive of a whole career but, more or less, of the album or sound their trying to sell to the public. And, honestly, I haven't found anything praise-worthy of all the Kanye songs I've heard (and that says a lot since the singles are representative of the best songs the artist has to offer), so I'm not interested in this "downbeat, electro album track". You don't need to take offense to this or even bring Kelly into this considering she has nothing to do with the topic on hand.

Yeah, clearly you can get a good idea of an artist's style from their singles and we don't all have infinite time to listen to albums by artists we hate to see if there's a small chance there's something good buried on there. But you also can't say you know what songs you've never heard sound like. I mean, does that not sound ridiculous to you? The point is, it doesn't take long to YouTube a couple of songs and people who vote in polls when they're not familiar with all the options are annoying, if not surprising. And, honestly, I haven't found anything praise-worthy of all the Kanye songs I've heard, so I'm not interested in this "downbeat, electro album track". I'm not exactly a Kanye stan, but his song in this poll couldn't be more different from all his singles. You don't need to take offense to this or even bring Kelly into this considering she has nothing to do with the topic on hand. I was using Kelly as an example because I thought if I used an artist you stanned for you'd understand where I was coming from more. Clearly it wasn't a "Kelly smellz!!!!11 lolz" comment.

But you also can't say you know what songs you've never heard sound like. I mean, does that not sound ridiculous to you? I was mostly talking figuratively. Of course that sounds ridiculous to me! But, in this case, hearing his singles (which usually are representative of the best songs an artists has to offer) is enough to figure out if I would like any songs on their album. Hence the point I was trying to make. I was using Kelly as an example because I thought if I used an artist you stanned for you'd understand where I was coming from more. Clearly it wasn't a "Kelly smellz!!!!11 lolz" comment. Lol, I already got your point, tho. If your not gonna bash her, I don't mind you bringing her up; but it seems there's an immature bunch here at Pulse that will bring Kelly up anytime just so they can throw shade at her.
