The cover is a little bland. I would've put a bigger picture of Bruno so that the teen girl population would be more inclined to buy it.

Most of his songs are already out there, either were in the EP or were performed live or leaked. Makes me much less excited for his album. The\Our First Time is good imo.

^ I'm really hoping that's the song on it too, but he has an unreleased ballad called "Our First Time" too. :( I'm really disappointed with that track listing.

Pretty disappointing...
Although I could see this being a publicity stunt too lol. He does coke in a bathroom with a bathroom attendant...?
Either way, dumb.

The ballad is awful, and this song could do good in POP, so I choose to pretend the ballad doesn't exist lol. ;) He looks stoned in the mugshot, lol.

I loved Bruno Mars when I first got his EP.
I was disappointed with his single.
I was disappointed with the tracklisting on his album (seriously... 10 tracks, 3 of which are already released? Cheap)
I am disappointed at whatever the hell happened with his drug arrest. If it was a publicity stunt, then he's not the artist I was hoping he would be. If he really is so addicted to cocaine as to do it in a public hotel bathroom with the bathroom attendant there, then he's not the human being I was hoping he would be.

I dont understand when people connect themselves so much to an artist that they genuinely get emotional when something like this happens. So the guy smokes crack. Who knows what a bunch of the artists you might like do behind closed doors? People have a tendency to think they know artists on a personal level when they probably know very little about their personal lives. At any rate I think this finally gives this guy some kind of a personality and edge. Hes been a part of three huge hits in the past year and yet no one has any idea who he even is

I don't really care that he smokes crack. I'm sure many many other celebrities do. I still like his music so whatever.
If he was pushing a family friendly "I'm perfect!1" image it'd be a different story, but he's not. There's some artists who I respect for their image/personality, but Bruno wasn't one because I didn't really know it. So...whatever. As long as the music is good. Obviously, I'd prefer he didn't do drugs considering it messes you up, but oh well....
Getting back to the album, I hope The Other Side is eventually released as a single. It's my favorite song of his thus far.

Hes been a part of three huge hits in the past year and yet no one has any idea who he even is I'm not emotionally connected to Bruno Mars. I was disappointed because it sucks to find out he's a dumbass. I would like more people in the entertainment industry to not be idiots. It would be refreshing for kids, teens and even older to have people in positions of importance not kill their brain cells by sucking illegal toxins through their nostrils. Cocaine? I mean, seriously, is he a Wall Street banker circa 1986? The second half of your post, how it gives him "personality and edge" - that's just... I can't even believe that. lol. No, sorry, snorting coke does not give one personality or edge. It makes one look like a coked-out dumbass. How deeply sad that we would define "personality" with how big of an idiot you can make out of yourself so you wind up on TMZ. This probably isn't going to do anything to affect his career. SADLY, it might even help him by gaining him more name recognition. And it doesn't change whether or not I like his music. But now he's just one more in a long line of morons in the entertainment industry. We really didn't need any more of them.

I try to keep an artist's personal life out of my feelings about their music. That is, unless they really screw up big time. I'll still jam to "Just The Way You Are" when it comes on the radio. I'll most likely still be a fan as long as he keeps singing with his great voice.

Well your opinion about cocaine is not really relevant because it is extremely common in the entertainment industry anyway. To single out a particular celebrity or to expect a celebrity who doesnt even have a clean cut Disney type image to not be one of them is pretty foolish. As for this giving him personality and edge no one was even talking about Bruno Mars the person until today. Now this is all over the blogs and people are talking about Bruno Mars as a person. Its putting some depth behind his name whether its perceived by some people as good or bad. Bad publicity is still publicity and I would say that the demographic that Bruno Mars caters to overall really does not care if hes sticking white powder up his nostrils.

^I see what you're saying.
I don't think this will really effect him, one way or the other. If it becomes a consistent problem (hopefully it doesn't), it might though. But like you said it's common in the industry, I'm sure lots of people do it. Doesn't make it right but what can you do?

I live in Honolulu so Bruno Mars "the person" has been discussed here. He was a local celeb before he moved to LA.
I don't care if everybody and their brother in the entertainment industry does the same dumb act. It doesn't make it less dumb.
And the "depth" that the blogs are discussing now is that Bruno Mars is a bad role model and an idiot. His previous reputation was as a clean-cut, sweet soulful singer. He was supposed to be a breath of fresh air. His song is about loving a woman just the way she is - a lot different than hanging in the club with your shawty and feeling her up. The image he had was working for him.
