I'm actually really disappointed. The only other somgs besides Pyromania and Night Nurse that I remotely like are Au Revoir, Stalker and Sinner On the Dancefloor. My biggest comment is that the album lacked uptempos.

...Didn't Pyromania come out a year ago? YES. It didn't do anything worldwide and then they released Night Nurse and really didn't promote it.

I really like this album! This is only the second one (aside from their debut) that I have really listened to properly. I appreciate the fact that there isn't just one sound across it. I enjoyed the midtempos and ballads the most. Natalie has a pretty good voice and she finally gets the chance to really showcase it appropriately. "Unspoken", "Enemy", "Independence Day", and "Stalker" are some of my favorites. I'm not a fan of "Night Nurse", but within the context of the album, I'm not really skipping it. Overall, it's a good, fun Summery type of album. ...Didn't Pyromania come out a year ago? YES. It didn't do anything worldwide and then they released Night Nurse and really didn't promote it. A lot of the response towards "Night Nurse" wasn't that positive either.

Lots of stuff has happened.
In the middle of August, Robbins Entertainment (their label in the U.S.) announced that the album Original Me will not have a U.S. release through them.
And on September 1, 2011, Robbins Entertainment announced on their message board that Cascada and Robbins have amicably parted ways, and Cascada were released from the label, citing creative differences as the reason for their departure. However, Original Me would be released soon, under their Zooland label.
Fans are speculating that the reason for their departure is the extremely poor performance of Original Me in the UK and elsewhere, and the change in Cascada's music direction from a pure Europop/Dance/Trance type of sound to RedOne/David Guetta-sounding knockoffs. And an even stranger factor which the label claims was not a contributing factor was that lead singer Natalie Horler posed semi-nude in German Playboy, exposing her breasts completely in several shots. I would post a link to the pictures but I wouldn't want the board to be deleted for violating the Proboards terms of service. The pictures are widely available online for those who wish to view them.
It has been mentioned by Cascada themselves that a new album will be released at the end of the year.

This turn of events doesn't surprise me at all. They're gonna have to come back with a harder, more unique sound to win back the masses.

im a huge cascada fan and it is sad to see how low they've fallen. I always thought they should've had a little more success than they did

It looks like the new greatest hits collection is a cash-in since they are representing Germany in the Eurovision song contest. They probably have little to no involvement in this and the label did it by themselves. Ever since they left Robbins, in the U.S. at least, I feel what little profile they had as artists has dropped off. As an aside, Robbins hasn't had that many major releases in quite some time now. I could see their participation in Eurovision and publicity surrounding it after helping them lay the foundation for hopefully releasing something new after that, but I fear they probably won't. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. At least for the U.S., they could have released their partial remake of Corona's “The Rhythm of the Night” as that song will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year (it was released in the U.S. nearly 2 years after it charted everywhere else). It may not be terribly exciting, but it's fun. Another new artist named Jay Solo has his own remake of that song with the original Corona vocals sampled for the chorus. Interestingly enough, the instrumental is almost identical to the Cascada remake.

This is like their millionth compilation. I really wish they would release a new album, but now I'm wondering if that's ever going to happen. I know they were never really respected as artists/performers, but they did have some really good pop/dance songs. I like every song off of Evacuate the Dancefloor.

I'm looking forward to "The World Is In My Hands". Despite their overall decline, they still know how to deliver an earworm dance anthem.

Kinda nostalgic reading my comments from 10 years ago in here. CASCADA was my gateway into pulse.
I finally saw Natalie live last weekend In Atlantic City. The bops were still bops. I’ve only liked a couple songs they’ve released in the last 10 years but those first 3 albums were stellar dance records.
