Even though BTW isn't finished, GaGa's already talking about album #4. Maybe it would be a better idea to keep discussion of the new album in another thread? The BTW thread was started like a year before it's release lol Lady Gaga Says Next Album Is 'Beginning To Flourish' 'I have the name for it,' Gaga reveals to MTV News, while producer Fernando Garibay says they're hoping to 'outdo' Born This Way. Lady Gaga is perhaps the busiest monster of them all. Just six months after dropping her chart-topping Born This Way, the Mother Monster is already hard at work on its follow-up. "I've started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place," she told MTV News at Jingle Ball in Los Angeles, where she also talked about her Grammy nods and "Marry the Night" video. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done." BTW contributor Fernando Garibay recently stopped by the MTV News offices in Santa Monica, California, and shared the vision he has in mind for Gaga's next release. "I get a little bit of anxiety thinking about that right now," the producer said of plans for the album. "I wanna just always try to outdo ourselves, our songs. "They're already incredible songs. But I feel like she's so young," he said, adding that the record is in its early stages and that "there's a lot of room to grow." While Gaga will hit the road on the Born This Way Tour next year, Garibay said that won't halt the recording process. "The last record we made in bus stops and hotel rooms," he said. "Wherever she's at, we'll make it." However the recording schedule pans out, Garibay knows he and Gaga will continue experimenting with new sounds. "She's the perfect platform for me to express myself," he said. "You can do stuff with her that you can't do with anybody else. It's amazing." www.mtv.com/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml

GaGa was at the White House yesterday! Lady Gaga is a source of strength for many young people who feel isolated and scared at their schools. Today, I had the opportunity to welcome her to the White House, where we discussed ways we could work together to make sure that no child comes under attack, regardless of his or her race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other factor. One of Lady Gaga’s newest projects is joining together with the MacArthur Foundation and Harvard University to launch the Born This Way Foundation, which will explore ways to help change the culture, the policies, and the curriculum surrounding the safety of our children in school. Lady Gaga has described this cause as a personal one – she has said that as a child, she was often picked on for being different. I am deeply moved by the way she has used her story, and her success, to inspire young people, and shine the spotlight on important issues. I am proud to be part of an Administration that has taken steps to address bullying. In 2010, the Department of Education made it clear to schools that allowing bullying against LGBT students can violate anti-discrimination statutes. In 2011, the Department reaffirmed students’ rights to form gay-straight alliances and other similar groups. Earlier this year, President Obama and the First Lady held a White House Conference on Bullying Prevention. And today the Administration released a new analysis of state bullying laws and policies, summarizing the efforts currently in place to prevent bullying in and out of schools. The report shows that while states have made recent progress in enacting policies and legislation to address bullying, more must be done. Over the last three years, we have seen that when we work together on behalf of human rights, we can accomplish truly amazing things, yet too many young people still remain at risk. As we continue protecting our children, we look forward to working with Lady Gaga, the Born This Way Foundation, and with every American who is willing to help make our society more kind, inclusive, and equal. Valerie Jarrett is a Senior Advisor to the President. www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2011/12/06/meeting-lady-gaga-inclusion-and-equality-our-young-people

Hoping this can get that #1 on Hot AC! If she can hold on, she might see a week at #10. That would be insane!

B/B-. Generally weak releases in 2011, with a few exceptions.

I love it because I also want to be a star, famous, etc. but what about everyone else who keeps crying over Someone Like You's lyrics or puts a smile on his face whenever We Found Love is played? ???

I don't think that article is very credible. Artists usually low-ball their tours as well and there's no way she would add more shows to a 450-date world tour. I don't think this one is true, guys.

D. They're an awful label. They give an artist 1 smash album and then do nothing to try to top it afterwards.

This better not freaking stall. MTN has grown so much on me and it's a total jam now. I will be so freaking pissed off. AND this better make Top 10 on the Hot 100 #heated.

If this doesnt make Top 10, would this be her first single not to do so? Depends what you mean. On the Hot 100, yes. On CHR, no. Judas peaked at #15.

Back? She only landed her first hit three years ago- where did she go? So insane to think that was 3 years ago, 7 #1s (11 Hot 100 Top 10s) later :'(

I would love for this to have 1 week in the Top 10 and it looks like it might. There's no songs flying up from behind; T-Pain isn't rising quick enough and MTN is slowing down from it's explosive debut on the chart.
