Took me about 4 or so listens and I absolutely love it now. Pretty much on par with "NTLTC" which I also loved.
Parts of the production remind me of Fifth Harmony's "Angel".

Wow #2 airplay and #5 pop? I never imagined this would perform so well.

So surprised they didn't pan over to Camilla's reaction during/after that performance. I'd be curious to see her reaction of Normani slaying. Right?! It almost seemed deliberate that they didn't.

I am sooooo excited for new Ariana. I really regret not going to the Dangerous Woman tour. I know what you mean. I don't know what I was thinking not going.

A in-depth look at the production behind "Into You." Incredible. That song is amazing in every way imaginable. Shame it didn't do better (Looking at you "Side to side").

I wanted to dislike this because it's JT and he's pretentious but... I've actually listened to it multiple times and do enjoy it. The video was good too. Damn you JT!

Wow, congrats Demi!
I don't think anyone thought this would do so well, very unexpected.

Congrats Taylor!
The accusations of payola are so unfounded, speculation at it's finest. How is it relevant how fast it drops from here on out? Plenty of songs drop like a rock once they hit #1, like "Strip that Down" currently.

It'd be amazing if "Ready for It" somehow hit #1 on the Hot 100.

Wow! Infatuated after just 1 listen, this song is such an ear worm. Definitely like it better than LWYMD.
Seems a little premature to release it, though.

I love the pre-chorus like everyone else (especially the 2nd one with the ad libs), not sure how I feel about the chorus though.
Not sure how this will do on radio though. I could see it exploding out of the gate but fizzling before reaching top 10.

I find it interesting that so many people think that 16 week+ number 1's will be the new trend based on a few songs doing really well in recent years. Will streaming continue to be a strong force in the coming years? What if Billboard tweaks its formula to give less points to streaming? What if there's a new component of consuming music that results in more turnover on the charts? There are so many unknowns that can't be accounted for and we've seen time and time again that the new norm is only the new norm until it isn't (ex. digital sales huge decline in recent years).

Um, thanks for the add. Also, one fan and a friend will get to split 1,000 dollars to shop jaguarusa. What could they get for 1,000 at Jaguar? Not a Jaguar. They could get some s**tty cufflinks or a hoodie I guess...ones that confusingly imply they drive a jaguar when they really drive an old, beat up Saturn. Lol! My thoughts exactly, what a weird promotion. Found myself humming this song the other day.

Beyond annoyed that this didn't do better on pop. If a song like "Believer" can go Top 10 with ease then there's no reason why "Malibu" couldn't get there as well.
And to think it's still top 10 at iTunes.

I seriously doubt this will be anywhere near as big as "Despacito". I think "Safari" had a better chance of hitting it big but I guess that song is too old now.

It's not bothersome that people think the new haircut is unattractive. It's bothersome that the unattractiveness is SO important to her (or any woman's) brand that it actually bothers people, makes them think the era is "off," etc. No one cared when Bieber tatted himself up; DJ Khaled being portly doesn't stop anyone from jamming to his music; Chris Brown has done damn near everything possible to make himself the most unmarketable human being to walk this earth and STILL cannot lose fans. Ed Sheeran looks like a garden gnome on a good day and Bruno Mars is the height of one on all days; neither is affected by this. But Katy cutting her hair actually affects how her music is perceived. TD, with the short blonde pixie, would still have been a banging ass album...but probably would have underperfomed because people were put off by her "look." This is not necessarily a justification for Witness, which is admittedly not musically on part with her past hits. I'm also not saying I don't love a flawless era, because I DO. Just saying that it shouldn't take a haircut to make anyone reach a conclusion as to how good or bad an album is - your ears don't have eyes - and yet the standard for women to have a smash era or maintain a smash career (in any genre) is so much higher than it typically is for men because we're so disproportionately concerned with women's looks. I don't think anyone is arguing that sexism does not exist in the music biz, it clearly does. Unfortunately for a female pop star, looks/brand play a huge role in their success and as silly as it sounds Katy's image is affecting her negatively this era, imo.

Yeah her iTunes showing thus far has been fine imo. Expecting her to have strong sales out of the gate after going solo from a group with 1 hit song and 1 hit feature on her own is a bit unrealistic.

Love this song! She finally gets it right after CTTR and BA. The production is amazing.
With that being said, not sure it will do well on radio but the clubs will go crazy for it.

1. Into You (Jam! and should have been bigger than "Side to Side") Then Play, A Woman's Worth , What You Got and Get it Shawty.

She has an incredibly unique tone - why would you launch your solo career with a song mimicking someone else's? Because we're entering an era where pop radio's demographic of teen girls isn't familiar with songs like Genie In A Bottle. It seems crazy, but I was just thinking about when current artists are going to start sampling millennial classics. I think the comment was referring to the similarities to Sia's vocals, not "Genie in a Bottle".

I actually quite like this!
The "Genie in a Bottle" part of the chorus is such an ear worm and definitely the best part of the song.
I just wish she didn't sound so much like Sia overall.
