and Sakura, i don't think being gay is an exclusive club. I don't think it should be a club at all... I think humanity is the club and everyone's invited, but of course we have people constantly removing us from 'normal' humans by making songs about us, making 'normal' people feel even further away from us.
I never thought being gay was 'weird' honestly, until Lady GaGa came around with all this marketing (because that's what it is - marketing.)
Nobody in my entire life told me I was wrong for being gay and I never saw anybody else have that happen to them until just recently, and I am always offended or feel awkward when people talk about it - that's only going to perpetuate the problem.
If children are TOLD that gay people are different and they should accept them, they're going to grow up not accepting them because they're different.

Dear Pulse, Hi, my name is Nico. I'm 19 years old and I like to hang out with my friends, work out, play videogames, drink and smoke cigarettes. I really like nice cars and loud music. What I don't like is an ugly fake-blonde chick with an almost stalker-like obsession with homosexuality reminding me every 15 minutes that i'm gay, as if i either forget, or like it's the most important thing in my entire life ever under any circumstances. I'm sorry Lady GaGa, but that's only one part of the picture -- a small one at that. Being gay isn't what makes me myself, being myself is what makes me myself, and there is a whole lot more to me than being gay. I hope you know you're doing more harm than good. Sincerely, Nico

The general public? I think even most of the gays will be offended by this song. I know I am to be honest.
I don't want people talking so bluntly about gays if you're not one yourself -- If you really believe we're equal then you'll stop making such a big deal about it. Like seriously, all this woman talks about is GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY.
I cannot stand it.

I would definitely say that Katy is a better songwriter than Gaga, who is better than Ke$ha. Maybe Ke$ha but not Katy. anyway This will smash If you don't think Katy is a good songwriter, there are only 2 explanations: 1. You haven't listened to either of her albums in their entirely 2. You're retardedWhich is it?

Alex da Kid doesnt really have a shot at producer of 2011 because of his "formula". Rapper + girl. There's not really much room on the charts for that, whereas Dr Luke can have 5 of his charting at once. Not to mention, there is a small number of possibilities with rapper + girl. He had 4 or 5 songs in the Top 10 a few months ago, let alone the Hot 100.

Yeah - 36 spins in nowhere close to being an indication of becoming a single. That means that one stations is probably playing it. IIRC "Out From Under" got really close to 100 spins, and that was only one station spinning it.

It doesn't matter really. You honestly can't take variables into account when breaking records. Every single day, there are more people in the world making it easier for a bigger first week. Shit like that....so let's not get into variables.

I agree completely. I think the meanest thing she ever said about another person was that Jamie Presley needed publicity, after she insulted her on her parenting skills. who's jamie presley? and i am not kidding ...... Britney's point exactly!

Heavy bets for Britney. She sold over 150k of her new single with only one day of sales, and she is also getting huge gains on radio too 15 million in audience for her first two days. I assume 150k is a lot but what are usual first day sales? 50k? 100k? ??? I'd say about 50k. I remember it was a HUGE deal with Taylor Swift sold 90k first day.. but after 2 days Britney should have 300 ish chart points.

pop bars are almost identical to yesterday's; another 125k or so is likely.

i'm pretty sure we're back to normal sales now and they won't really drop anymore. I think Bruno will stick around 250k-275k next week. 118k first day sales. 124k first day. Even if she sold JUST as much as Bruno for the next 5 days, she'd sell 196k for the rest of the week, putting her total at 320k.

currently Britney is probably about 27k ahead of Bruno for week to date sales.

So then it's definitely safe to say Britney crossed 100,000 units in first-day sales.
