With its digital performance...I just don't see this topping the Hot 100. Yeah... The top 3 on iTunes (Thinking Out , Uptown Funk, and FourFiveSeconds) are looking pretty impenetrable and probably will be for a long time. Style will probably pass Love Me Like You Do (after the 50 Shades hype dies), Sugar (no idea why it hasn't passed this song already), and Take Me to Church (just because of how old it is), but after that we'll have to wait and see if airplay or streaming really pick up and spur digital sales.

To reiterate points raised earlier: -Fantastic song -Beautiful images -Boring video
Would have worked SO well for Wildest Dreams.

Personal taste and actual single viability varies wildly. I really cannot stand "Bad Blood" (I had high expectations because of the Rolling Stone article and think "Better Than Revenge" is an infinitely superior diss song) but since 1989's release it's charted really well on iTunes so I think it could do well.
With Style, I'm really happy that I love the song and it appears to be off to a good start.

Billboard predicts in a recent newsletter: Get Lucky (They say this will probably be the summer smash of 2013 ) Cruise I Love It #Beautiful The Way Treasure Blurred Lines Fine China Right Now Live It Up Radioactive Safe and Sound Same Love :o Are we counting "People Like Us" out? I'd really like it to be at least a top 20 hit. Also, Safe and Sound is going to smash.

Too bad P-squared beat Kelly. I think she deserves to have the best-selling Idol single. Since U Been Gone could have easily sold 5 million or more if digital downloads were as common back then as they are now.

I wonder how much digital sales for Till the World Ends increased during the days leading up to the Mayan Apocalypse.

13. ELLIE GOULDING - Lights: 75.893 (+ 1.840) Is this really happening? I'm very impressed.
KELLY CLARKSON - Dark Side: 16.870 (+ 0.805) Hopefully this can be Kelly's third top 10 from Stronger.

I wonder how long it will be until Stronger becomes the best-selling digital single by a former Idol. Four weeks minimum.

Radio finally starts playing Dark Side. The same week that Stronger should pass 3 million this week. It should have last week.

Finally "Lights" is getting airplay. I remember buying that song almost a year ago.
And when is "Dark Side" going to radio? Hopefully it is received well.

Phillip Phillips and Elisa Testone did Somebody That I Used to Know. I'm going to die.
And the day after Glee used it. I think it has a chance at #1 this week.

Considering "Glad You Came" is going to replace "Stronger" this week, how many weeks was Kelly #1 on Pop Songs?

Kelly should be #1 until Fun. takes over. I'm so happy for her, hopefully she tops Hot 100 Airplay as well.

I think STIUTK has a chance at #1 if they cover it on Glee, which of course would be awesome.

I think Stronger's going to become the biggest selling Idol single pretty soon. And even though it's less likely, hopefully it can hit #1 in airplay.

I find it interesting that except for Stronger, Kelly's Pop Airplay #1's are different from her Hot 100 #1's.
Miss Independent, Since U Been Gone, Because of You, kind of defined her as an artist, while A Moment Like This and My Life Would Suck Without You were a result of high first week sales.
Just another reminder that Hot 100 peak position does not totally represent pop culture significance.

"WAY" is going to be HUGE. The airplay's starting to take off and it'll keep selling well. I'm glad that it hit #1 even though I wish Kelly could get another week on top. Hopefully Gotye can hit #1 as well.
