It doesn't really matter whether she was the 1st to use the title or not, she has been using it (and to good effect) for the last two years and that's all anyone is going to care about.

I don't think anyone was trying to argue or call him a copycat. There's just so many other titles he could've gone with rather than one that's been used for 2 years by the biggest new act in music.

Im not sure this Yeahx3 song is going to bring him back at pop. Its not that good and the title is weird. He needs something significant to make a comeback not a Forever rehash. He should continue doing fine at urban though unless Calypso is horrible

Thanks for posting. Is it just me or does that come off extremely cocky in the context of the situation he went through? It's not surprising, though, because that's exactly how he is. I hope "Calypso" is good. I used to really love Chris, but Graffiti was bad to me. I'm looking forward to more R&B jams like "You", "Take You Down", "Poppin", "Damage", and "Yo".

Im sure she still does too But hes too conniving and oh how I loathe this title. he better go the Trey Songz route and release R&B jams and pray they crossover to pop because even if he recorded the most generic pop song of all time.. im dead sure they wouldnt pay him a dog mind.

I agree. I think Chris's best shot at Pop success is going to have to come from a song that crosses over from Urban and Rhythmic. "Deuces" didn't do it, but that song had Tyga and Kevin McCall tagged on it as well. It was mostly rap. I'm thinking some image reconstruction still needs to take place before Pop accepts him back in their good graces, but good music is good music. I don't have high hopes for "Yeah 3x", but we'll see what happens.

Bruno Mars is hot rite now and so is Justin Bieber. These male pop artist are basically doing the same thin as the females. He needs a new image. I never liked his Graffiti image. It was sexy.. but it was too he needs to clean it up. Go back to looking modestly. I wouldnt mind if he gives us a clean image. he needs to win over back the kids. The pre teen audience (10 to 14) have been missing Chris Brown theyve moved on to Bieber. if he does that then he will get the pop airplay. Keep the sex for the album tracks.

There's no point in trying to appeal directly to kids as blatantly as he did earlier. He's no longer a teenager; he's 21 and even if the incident had not happened, he still would have had to deal with it. He currently has the #1 R&B song with more adult-leaning lyrics and its success should be a sign that he has a good chance of consolidating his R&B audience and strengthen his establishment there. It's what he should have aimed for with Graffiti instead of aiming for a wider audience after the incident, and it pretty much all crashed on him.
